One of the best doctors I have ever met.
Explained things in a way that a patient could understand. He was thoughtful and kind. Made you feel comfortable. Very thorough and you just knew you had found one of the very best doctors you had ever seen. I HIGHLY recommend this doctor.

Dr Willoughby’s the very best lung doctor. He’s very thorough and his knowledge and compassion of lungs and his patients is commendable. He quickly diagnosed my lung disease and was able to treat it. I moved out of state one year ago and miss the attention and help he gave me. I have not found anyone as dedicated.

Outstanding
I have had a few set backs but Liz was there to support and help in everything she could. Private practice that does their own testing in office.

Dr. Willoughby is a very thoughtful and caring physician. I have been going to him for about 8 years, and have had a great experience. The only drawback is that the pace of the office is very slow. This is partially due to the fact that he reads patients charts before he sees the patient, so he is current, and does not have to spend a ton of time going over everything twice. He listens, and in the event something comes up that he is not aware of, he takes the time to listen and learn. He documents well, and his notes are available on the patient portal. The staff is friendly and caring as well.

Last year (2019) was a very brutal nightmare for me. Ending up in ER 8+ times with most chest x-rays showing COPD. Well, first Pulmonologist visit said NO COPD, instead lung infection. WRONG diagnosis !! Second Pulmonologist ran a crucial test but couldn't diagnose my condition. Auwe !! Lack of knowledge & experiences I'm guessing. Finally after much prayers, tears and searching, I made an appt with Dr Willoughby. He ordered more tests (in his office) than the first 2 Pulmonologists. Finally a light at the end of the tunnel. NO COPD OR EMPHYSEMA. Dr Willoughby being so intelligent, experienced and patient diagnosed me. Yes, it took a very astute professional that found that missing puzzle to my complex health issue. He provided me the answer I searched for that no other Dr or hospital could. My prayers were answered. Dr Willoughby truly an angel sent. Thank-you Dr Willoughby for being that "needle in the haystack" that we all search for, but also much thanks to all your staff members.

Dr Willoughby always listens to my concerns. He recommends care exclusively to my needs as a senior. He & staff always insure maintenance medications have ample refills so I'm not calling every two or so months for needed meds. Scheduling, referrals, equipment is easily arranged. Wait time is getting longer. Elec records & scheduling is available! Staff is personable for the most part.

Older physician who is not comfortable treating difficult patients. No exam table in patient room. Physical exam is very weak/only listens to lungs, Pathetic excuse for a physician!

He should be reported to some oversight agency. He does not conduct normal exams. He bills exorbitant amounts for speaking to you for about 3 to 5 minutes. The wait is about an hour to an hour and a half. And to top it off there is a small dog in the office. For gods sake this is a health department offense and he is treating asthmatics.

I have been a patient of Dr. Willoughby’s since the early 90’s. I have always found him to be caring, knowledgeable and very professional. I always refer my family, colleagues and friends to him for their pulmonary needs. His staff is excellent, and a wonderful extension of him. You will find no better doctor in this town than Dr. Willoughby. Betsy Strickland

Does no real examination. Listens to your chest for one second. Does not read history or notes from another doctor. Writes something down and leaves the room. Plus there is a dog in the office. Asthmatics are often allergic to dogs. 2 hour wait to be seen. I will not be going back.

If you're looking for a team that is compassionate, personable and kind to their patients, This is not the place. Zero stars I called and spoke with ANGELA Dr. Willoughby's (receptionist) about booking a follow up appointment for my elderly mother with COPD (I'm her caregiver) I requested that doctor Willoughbee order a chest x-ray so we can compare it to the last one he ordered and reviewed 4 months ago. Most recently I've noticed a new loud horn sound when mom coughs that concerned me.

Agree with waiting to see him for an hour. Spends a few minutes if that. Give him written questions and hospital records, adk for copies, you will never get them back!! Also, he flips through questions with short answers as if not to be bothered! After 4 years, he dropped me like a hot potato!! No reason given, no explanation!! I would NOT recommend him to anyone!!

I'm with Doctor Willoughby for 4 years now, and I don't have to say anything negative about him.... besides.... you have to wait for him. There is waiting time in the office with all my doctors I see. Sometimes he can be a bit short... but he has a fundamental knowledge about the human pulmonary system.

After an hour and a half, he finally came in the room, only to tell me that I have a very complex problem and he can't help me. He then escorts me out and says, "Good luck." Unbelievable.
