Dr Khan cares. A lot. He tells the truth, even if the patient prefers not to hear it. Gig Harbor is filled with pretentious people that live in a fantasy. Dr Khan is grounded and believes in fitness to avoid ailments . CHI administration is greedy. Khan went to multicare in Tacoma. Starts in August ‘20

Dr Khan is my family medicine physician. His demeanor is gentle, his vibe is compassionate and his approach is comprehensive. I would highly recommend Dr Khan to anyone, but younger patients establishing their first Dr and Older Patients that might be frustrated with the loss of their Dr ( retirement ). You can be sure that he will take care of you. ??

Great Doctor, Have spent over five years with him as my Internal Medicine Specialist. Always received excellent care with thorough exams and availability. Dr Khan was always interested in my healthcare and thoughts on what was best for my needs. He never hesitated with recommendations or referrals. Great Doctor!

Worst doctor I have ever seen. First his nurse asked me if I needed a "female exam" and said she hoped I didn't because it makes the doctor VERY uncomfortable. I told her I didn't. Then said he knew about my rare bone condition but when I pulled up my file later he had it labeled wrong. Scheduled me for a MRI but when the insurance said that I needed physical therapy first he called and changed his plan because the "insurance knows best". The specialist that I went to later said that the physical therapy would have been damaging to my knee. Lastly, he kept going on and on about how he "likes in shape woman and thin women. I don't know why he kept saying that but I finally asked him why he kept saying it and then he showed me a picture of his wife and said "see she is also in-shape and thin". I was so disturbed by everything I contact Franciscan.

In 2013, I went to Dr. Khan with a rash on my chest. He assured me that "breast cancer doesn't manifest as a rash" and referred me to a dermatologist. I insisted on a mammogram and on the way to my car called the mammogram center. That saved my life. They said, "a rash IS a potential sign of breast cancer and scheduled me the next day to be seen at a specialty center (The Carol Milgard Center in Tacoma). Turned out I had aggressive Stage 3 Inflammatory Breast Cancer (which does manifest as a rash). Yes, Doctors can sometimes miss things. But he was very insistent with me that I didn't have breast cancer. It was only because I insisted on a mammogram for peace of mind that I am here today. Well, I will give him a bit of credit. Once he realized he made a mistake, he referred me to the best oncologist and surgeon in the Pacific Northwest. Thankfully, their year long treatment plan (chemo, BMX, radiation) worked better than expected. Be cautious and assertive with Dr. Khan.

We have been patients of Dr. Khan's since he first started in Gig Harbor. Dr. Khan is genuine, sincere, caring and more than qualified in taking care of our medical needs, whether they be major or minor. Over the years we have received excellent advice and care from Dr. Khan and his referrals, when needed. We continue, and will continue, to honor his advice and recommendations.

I knew there was a reason I gave him up as a doctor several years ago. Now, I'm going to find another. I sent in 2 refill prescription request about a week apart. After a week, I hadn't received any acknowledgment, so I left a message. Someone replied saying this was the first time they seen the request. Then on the 2nd, I followed up and he said,"I've not seen you in over a year (13mo's) You can buy it over the counter till you see me." I am totally blown away by how rude he is. No Customer Service Skills.

I had been seeing Dr. Kahn for about 6 years. He seemed to be a Dr. who would listen to my health concerns and maintain whatever my status quo treatment had been prior to coming to him. However, when he prescribed Statin drugs I was resistant. The conversation escalated to the point where he suggested I find a different doctor. When I got my bill for the appointment his prognosis was severe depression! He abused using my health history, for we didn't even discuss my emotional health.
