Dr. Chin was able to see me right away. She spent time with me and listen to my concerns and answered questions. She worked well with my Primary. It would have been 6 months to 2 years if I saw anyone here

Dr Vivian Chin (Queen’s Honolulu NEURO) has a great description about herself on the Neuroscience website. She either pretended to care about me and meant to treat me but totally failed. Like the review above states also - she takes on to much work, then helps no one. This is not an excuse, this is medical neglect and abandonment. Not professional at all. Not legal. After trying to get her to run more tests, help with my neuromuscular disease for almost TWO YEARS. All she had to say was I should go to a clinic on the mainland (writing from Hawaii). She and her office did not help with finding another clinic to treat, the paperwork to have some of travel paid for. Basically another 2 years of my life gone with no help with terrible increasing symptoms. They should be ashamed of themselves and there practice, which laughingly they claim in internationaly recognized. I feel hopeless and worse on some days.
What went well
  • Staff friendliness
What could be improved
  • Difficult to schedule appointment
  • Didn't explain conditions well
  • Long wait times

Dr. Vivian Chin is only getting a single star because she happened to be very pleasant and seemingly genuine the one and only time she actually returned a phone call. My father has a team of doctors at NYP due to multiple meningiomas he has been suffering with for well over a decade. Dr. Chin has way too busy a caseload than she is able to manage, and she takes weeks to return even one email or call. I find that lack of response entirely insulting and disrespectful.
