Dr. Virginia Hemelt, MD

She seams to be good and takes good looks at reports. The way they give results is only in appointment so you have to pay for vista. But the only way they give appointment is thru the mail so if you dont get or read your mail you will miss the appointment they they charged you for the appointment even if you didn't know you had one. And they will not give results over phone. Or make new appointments tell you pay the 25 for the one they mailed to you.

We were not impressed with this Neurologist. She was only focused on a small portion of my husbands problem. Even after trying to get her to check him out better, because I knew there was something more wrong than what she had her mind set on. Took him to another Neurologist and have been very pleased with him. So my advice is keep looking.

been trying to see her for 2 weeks. Was told I'd get a call, when she could get me in, 2 weeks later still no call.

she is an amazing doctor. she runs her practice strict for quality patient care. if you are not interested in taking the initiative to take the necessary steps to get better, don't waste time trying to get in. otherwise she is compassionate and incredibly knowledgeable of her field.

This Dr let my new onset adult epilepsy go for 6months untreated by medication as she thought it was just stress related. It took away my life and made me feel like I was going crazy. So unfair when you put all your trust in a Dr to care for you. Thank God I finally decided to get a 2nd opinion! I am not being treated and went several months without any seizures thanks to medication. I'm finally regaining my life back. She also even charged me $50 just to return my phone call! How crazy?!?

I was in a near fatal accident and was referred to her by my ophthalmologist. After she removed the fluid from my brain, she refused to accept my phone call & she refused to give me a blood patch for the postural headaches. She misdiagnosed me, gave me too much Diamox which lowered my electrolytes & almost killed me. Doctors tell me it's a miracle I'm alive. The other doctors within the same neurological practice she was in was removed as a partner. I think she works in a hospital now - scary.

Never easy to get paperwork completed for work reviews or SS. Dr. Hemelt acted somewhat interestedinterested but never felt she took the time to fully understand MS. The staff was blah, except for a former nurse - Kim.
