Great DOCTOR
Dr Gianelli removed a tiny melanoma from my back. Prior a visit to his practice I saw a 'respected' dermatologist at UCSD who told menot to worry as it was NOT melanoma. As soon as Dr Gianelli saw my back dark spot he instantly said: ' Surgery urgently'. That was 5 year's ago. I would not have survived if I had listened to UCSD doctor. Always go and ask for a 2nd opinion. Thanks Dr Gianelly.

Cold
Their office is uncomfortable and cold I had to wait 25 minutes in a paper gown in a very cold exam room before being seen. Once seen I like dr Gianelli

Waste of time and a complete joke.
I made an appointment for a skin and nail problem. I waited 25 minutes in the waiting area which was full at mid-morning. I was then asked to wait in another room for another 20 minutes. My appointment was at 10:00am and by this time I had been waiting for 40 minutes with the time 10:40am. Dr. Giannelli came in and said "hello, what are we doing today?". I was explaining some of the symptoms I had and his phone rang and he walked out. We waited but he didn't return. I told the other staff member in the room that I had another meeting and had to leave, but please could the doctor call me back to discuss or schedule another appointment? She said she would and apologized for the delays. I never heard back from the doctor. I paid around $600 for the appointment. Not a good use of my time or money.

Didn’t review anything I provided to Dr. Giannelli beforehand, wasted time asking products and medicines, recommended products I listed that weren’t read, which I already use. Waste of time and when mentioned to him, he added a 2 week trial of an additional product. Looked at me and talked, didn’t try to learn about the issue, very well. Talked more about soccer with another patient than he spent in total with me.

Disappointing. I wait in the consultation room around 25 minutes alone and hear him in the room next door spend a long time talking to another patient. He came in and said “what are we doing today?”. I start explaining my skins issue and he cuts me off and asks the nurse to put in an order for medication and leaves the room. Didn’t show any interest to understand the symptoms or issues and wanted to speak to someone else. I had around 3 minutes of his time. Try another dermatologist who isn’t rude.

Awful. I waited ages in the waiting area and then longer in the room they told me to wait in. He then came in and didn’t really seem interested to hear about my issue. He then just walked out and told the nurse to put in the order. I’m not coming back to this complete disgrace.

I had been to my family physician, then urgent care who sent me to Inova Fairfax ER. There were different guesses as to what my condition was, but none fixed the situation or relieved the pain. On first glance Dr. Giovani KNEW EXACTLY what it was and how to treat it. After more than a week of serious pain and itching, Dr. Giovani 's prescriptions provided relief within 24 hours! THANK YOU!! His staff was also able to work me in on an emergency basis whereas my own (soon to be former) dermatologist would not. Five star rating from me for Dr. G.!!

Do not recommend if you like being heard and respected. He has a hard time admitting when he’s wrong about something and is very rigid in his views. I asked for medication for a skin condition my former dermatologist diagnosed me with. He told me it was impossible for that to happen in the way it did for my skin. I told him that this was what my other dermatologist told me and it’s been my experience. I made another appointment when I had another flare up. The test showed that my thought was correct, but he didn’t remember that he told me it was impossible. Then he came up with some crazy theories to explain why. They weren’t true because those were definitely not my experiences and he didn’t even bother to ask. I told him no and he nodded his head and looked over at his assistant to keep going with his wild theory. I hate having to battle his ego when I just want to get urgent support for my skin conditions that can get bad quickly. I don’t feel safe and supported with him.

Terrible!!! He enter the room i was in and he pronounced his diagnostic without even looking at my skin. Eczema he said!! I told him I had dead skin due to frostbite that I wanted him to tell me how to get rid of. He continue saying that it was eczema and ordered his nurse to give me a prescription for eczema. He does not listen to his patient at all. He was with me for a couple of minutes and left.

I have several health challenges, including a plethora of Allergies. I took a typed list of my Medications which highlighted my Allergies in neon yellow, along with other pertinent info to my appointment with Dr. Giannelli. After waiting an hour, the doctor breezed in for 5 minutes. Taking no note of the information I'd provided, he had the Nurse send a presciption to my pharmacy. When I inquired what it was, he said it would calm my facial symptoms and that I should return in a week. Then he left. I had questions so I asked the Nurse to have him return. He did, clearly peeved.. At the pharmacy, I found out that he'd prescribed something I was severely Allergic to. I had them call for something else. Hours later, the new Rx turned out to be "experimental".. Feeling totally disheartened, I opted not to use it. I cancelled my next appointment & decided to try to heal myself. He didn't listen to me, nor look at the info I provided. No Patient should keep a Dr. they don't feel Safe with!
