Wolf In Sheeps Clothing
He was very personable until the procedure. He did the procedure and then he was nowhere to be found. The office runs on time but the communication is awful. The NPs, PAs, nurses and Dr. Miele are all on different pages and are experts in medical gaslighting. I asked him questions about things that weren’t on the OR notes or the chart that were required to be noted. When he felt his ego was being nicked he was very aggressive and defensive. His one M.A. stated that his notes & paperwork are sloppy and that he allows residents to operate unsupervised only “coming back in for the important parts.” Him and all of his staff will absolutely win you over to bill the insurance but after he cuts he is done with you. Don’t think you will get anywhere asking for a refill or the correct imaging or study ordered. GET A SECOND AND THIRD OPINION! Dr. Miele needs investigated. He won’t answer questions post op. Proceed with EXTREME CAUTION!

Strongly
Dr. Miele saved my life, basically. I was pretty much non functioning until he did a lumbar fusion and the recovery was a breeze. After having a prior surgery done by a different physician and being told there was nothing they could do for my pain, even when the pain increased 100 percent after that surgery, Dr. Miele gave me my life back..was very thorough, kind, took time answering all of my questions. I would highly recommend Dr. Miele and his staff.

Dr Miele is very knowledgeable about conditions of the lumbar back. He recently preformed a lumbar fusion on me and I am doing wonderful. Listen to his recommendations and limitations after surgery. He only wants the best for his patients.

Dr Miele was very thorough. Took his time going over my MRI with my family and me. Explained non surgical and surgical options that we could understand. He was recommended by 2 nurses, a surgeon at Mercy Hospital, and a nurse that had spinal surgery from him.

Wasted my time.
I waited 3 months for a virtual appt. with him, then had to wait 2 1/2 hours for him to pick up the day of the appt., second virtual appt., the same thing, appt. was at 2:00, he picked up at 4:30, no apology, after being on the phone with him 3 minutes he handed the phone off to his nurse, he never let me finish asking my questions. Apparently he didn't get the memo that his job is to help people, not demean them.. Extremely egregious behavior for a surgeon. Very disappointed in his lack of compassion.

Dr. Miele was professional, kind and extremely knowledgeable. Dr. Miele spent all the time we needed to ask questions and he took the time to educate me about my trouble spots of my spine. Dr. Miele recently performed my surgery (October 2020) and I am healing nicely.

It was the worst experience, my mother has ever experienced. A very rude dr, she was left waiting for 2 hours before he would even come and see her in the exam room. Didn’t even exam her, he told her if she didn’t like how he was handling it, she could pick up and leave, he did not need her business. His need to go back to school and learn bed side manners. Will NEVER RECOMMEND HIM FOR MY DOG.

I wish I could leave a zero star rating. Rude, condescending and heartless. I felt like he brushed off my questions and concerns and he made me feel like I was wasting his time. Every question I tried to ask him was met with a sarcastic reply. He seemed annoyed that I would have the audacity to ask him to explain something to me. I would not let him touch me if he was the last doctor on the planet.

Dr Miele was rude and callous to my friend during her appointment. As a nurse practitioner I was completely appalled at his lack of caring and unprofessionalism. His demeanor and tone of voice was condescending and disheartening. I wouldn’t let him touch me or anyone I care about. He needs a vacation, an attitude adjustment, and a heart.

Had 2 previous back surgeries in Morgantown WV by a different doctor. 6 yrs later back pain was back. Thanks to Dr Meile, after some consultations with him, he recommended a permanent spinal cord stimulator. It has been the best decision ever made concerning my back. He is so patient, kind and understanding. A bedside manner that you don’t see very often anymore Truly one of a kind!! You can’t go wrong with him. Last but not least he is not surgery happy He’s very truthful and up front!!

Dr. Miele was very short during my appt. Not very good at explaining my issues and what comes next. He did not even go over the MRI with me. Asked if I was done with my questions, to hurry out of the room, on to the next patient.
