Dr. Biank is truly the best GI for our son's needs. When he was 1st dx he explained clearly what all his options were. I did reach out for 2nd & 3rd opinions with Children's Memorial & UC. Each dr had the same dx & treatment. Dr. Biank was our favorite. His staff & he is quick to respond with even the simplest of questions. They really care about what they do. Now that my son is 18yo, he decided to stay with Dr. Biank until he is done with college. Very happy with Dr. Biank, his staff, including Ann, & each dr in this practice. Thank you Northshore University Health System.

Dr. Biank has excellent bedside manner, but his skills end right about there. He over-confidently told us what he thought was wrong with our child (which ended up being wrong), without taking the time to first listen to our parental knowledge of our child's particular situation. He's an alarmist and scared us into making changes that have caused damage our child is still recovering from (including a trip to the ER as a result of following his medical recommendations). Switched to U Chicago now.

Dr. Biank has been a nightmare to deal with along with his head nurse Ann. The Dr. nor his staff communicates with both parents regarding treatments or diagn when they are divorced and in fact appts/treatment plans have been kept from me at the request of my x husband WITHOUT a court order allowing such behavior and the Dr. and his staff go right along with the alienation without hesitation. When I had the opportunity on 2 occasions to ask the Dr. medical questions he sat there almost clueless

Dr. Biank told us what to do for our daughter without even talking to me or examining my child. We were in his office and he said numbers were enough for him to determine what we should do. Only after I commented that he had not even heard what we have tried, did he scale back his aggressive and threatening approach. Nonetheless, he runied the next 3 years of my daughter and my life by scaring into making behavioral changes that we had to spend years undoing. If you want an alarmist, go see him.
