Dr Arlauskas has a great bedside manner! He listens and has great compassion for his patients. As a person, I really like him. But...I had a hiatle hernia surgery, and the results were disastrous for me. My vagus nerve was cut during the procedure and caused gastroparesis. It is a terrible life altering condition. I know it was unintentional, but I felt that he didn't take any responsibility for it. To add insult to injury, the hernia repair failed. I believe he is probably a great surgeon, but my experience changed part of my life permanently.

Performed outpatient surgery for ventral hernia & adhesions that had formed from a December 2000 colon surgery. Initial office visit went very well; Dr. Arlauskas was relaxed, gracious & to the point with the course of action to remedy the excruciating pain I had been experiencing for quite a while. Surgery was performed & I am recovering at home in some pain, but nothing as was happening prior to the surgery. Would definitely request Dr. Arlauskas for any future surgeries & will refer him to family & friends. Thank you Dr. Arlauskas!

Was referred to Dr Arlauskas. After meeting him, very glad to be his patient. He performed gall bladder surgery for me as an outpatient procedure. He is calm, precise, cares about his patients. Explains anything we have questions about. Knew exactly what was required in my case and carried it out in short order. Seems wiser than his years. I highly recommend this doctor. He is exceptional.

I was referred at to Dr. Arlauskas by my local doctor. When I met him he was a very pleasant person that I could talk to and he explained the procedure to me in detail. Three days later I was admitted into the hospital in Brunswick. The staff was very friendly and professional. After the operation, I felt no pain at all. Thank you for all that you did for me Dr. Arlauskas. I highly him.....

Dr. Arlauskas is professional, knows his stuff, is thorough. He took the time to listen to our fears and questions-and answered them, he researched things for us we didn't know and he brought back answers. He held fast to what is best for the patient, which doesn't seem to be common practice any longer for most doctors.

performed surgery and when my husband went back for his initial follow-up with some discoloration under the incision, some distention in his abdomen & swelling in lower extremities, he discounted this and implied he was just older and that it would be fine. Well, a year and a half later, multiple hospitalizations, invasive attempts at patching, my husband's transplanted liver went into a tailspin that he NEVER came out of. ZERO CHANCE of referral.

Dr. Arlauskas performed an umbilical hernia repair. This surgery was a repaired from prior surgery performed in 2009. Dr Arlauskas used mesh to strength the weakness in my abdominal wall. The surgery went extremely well and was off pain medicine in three days. The incision has healed beautiful with no scars. If I require surgery in the future, I will use Dr. Arlauskas.
