My experience was good
I was impressed that he was able to see me for the initial consultation at a convenient time for me, 4:45pm. I didn't have a bad experience like some others I read above. I asked questions, he answered them, and if I had a follow up question he took the time to answer. I didn't sense a lack of empathy, but I wasn't looking for a lot of hand holding. He explained the procedure that he was recommending thoroughly using the copy of the CT scan I received from the ER doc in simple to understand language. My only beef would be that the ultrasound procedure was scheduled for 8:30am, and he was a little late not arriving until 9am. All in all I was pretty satisfied with this doctor.

Worst doctor EVER!!!
I went in for a kidney stone, and although he was nice enough to schedule the surgery after hours in the evening, he gave me no information about what the procedure would be like. His bedside manner is -20. He gave me no information on what to expect after the kidney stent procedure. He gave me no pain medicine, said to take something over the counter. I was in excruciating pain for three days. When went into the office to get the stent out he basically walked out the door after he pulled it out. I asked him about follow up going forward. He was extremely patronizing and told me that the reason I had a kidney stones is because I don’t drink enough water. That’s not the case because I’m a huge water drinker. I told him that I was in pain and asked for pain medicine and he told me to take ibuprofen. His bedside manner is the absolute WORST! He gave me no information on how to prevent kidney stones in the future, nor took the time to explain prevention and treatment going forward.

I have e used this doctor for about 3 years for prostate cancer and my advice to you is to move on to any other doctor as staying with him could very well shorten your life considerably. If you read his reviews you will come to see a repeated pattern of a lack of empathy which I have come to know that he has aspergers syndrome mixed in with a drive to enrichen his pocket ahead of your health. For example, he scheduled my surgery 2 months after consulation instead of refering me to a doctor that had an earlier opening. He did not refer me to get raditation until the PSA was very high after the surgery and he kept giving different reasons why I should wait from my insurance might not accept it to I should heal a bit more. I think he did not know what to do. The list goes on and I think if I would have gotten any doctor right out of school I would have done much better.

I have used Dr. Rogenes for 7 years. He has always been extremely professional and informative. He performed my partial nephrectomy (kidney cancer removal) and I could not have asked for a better doctor. He was and still is very attentive to my medical needs and concerns. I would highly recommend Dr. Rogenes.

The staff is very inflexible, not customer focues, and hard to get in contact with. The Doctor was very pro surgery even though after getting a second opinion it was not needed at this time. Also did testing that was VERY expensive, not covered by insurance, and also not necessary. I would not recommend this person at all.

My initial visit was 8 days ago. Dr Rogenes wrote a script for a drug that has been recalled and pharmacy is unable to order more. I left a message within two hours of my visit explaining the problem. It’s been 8 days since that call. I’ve spoken with a “nurse” for 10 seconds. She argued that the dr didn’t recall writing me a script. I adamantly explained I handed it to my pharmacist and how else would I know drug is unavailable. She hung up. He seemed nice and knowledgeable, all his staff seem like they’re bothered all the time and rude.

This doctor is a complete hack! I went in for a simple vasectomy and was put through the worst experience of my life. He did not explain anything, did not have any bedside manner and offered me nothing, other than ibuprofen, to help with the pain I should never have experienced. He said during the procedure, 'everyone is different', in response to my agony. I'm a full three weeks out from the procedure and am still very sore and not fully healed. Three days prior to the scheduled procedu

The absolute worst office staff. Either very unorganized or they simply do not care. If you go to this facility do not plan on getting any type of correspondence back from them. You will have to call them multiple times to try to figure anything out. They will quickly cancel appointments with no notice (automated msg), hard to reach to reschedule, and do not follow up.

He cancelled my appointment 2 hours before time. Too late in the day for me to find another appointment. This the day after I was in the ER for my issue. I took a day off of work because I needed to get this resolved and he just cancelled without warning.

I would never recommend him to anyone. I was referred and have had 2 bad experiences ... out of 2. Will not utilize or go back. Does not care or even try to make you think he cares. Easily annoyed and lets it show. Not capable of understanding issues of elderly patients. Do not make the mistake of picking this urologist as he is a very poor practitioner.

Victim of referral to this guy in Dallas, TX – Mar 17, 2017
×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Rogenes?
Dr. Rogenes is quite possibly the worst physician I have ever had the displeasure of being a patient of. He completely lacked empathy, did not explain INVASIVE procedures before they were performed, and was in an obvious rush to get to his next patient, likely to make as much money doing as little as possible. While his nurse was lovely, he himself was in all ways- unqualified to be an MD- and I have many MD's in my family. If you are looking for a doctor who cares about your well-being, will

THE WORST STAFF EVER. THIS OFFICE DOESN'T HAVE REGISTERED NURSES-ONLY HAS MEDICAL ASSISTANTS THAT CLEARLY THINK THEY RUN THE SHOP AND HAVE THE RIGHT TO TREAT PATIENT RUDES. BLOOD TEST AND CULTURES TAKEN ON A FRIDAY...A WEEK LATER STILL NO CALL. THEY LIED AND TRIED TO COVER UP THE FACT THAT THEY HAD NOT CONTACTED ME--THEY DIDN'T. THE BEAUTY OF TECHNOLOGY THESE DAYS IS YOU CAN PROVE UP A LIAR AND THIS OFFICE HAS A LOT OF LIARS WORKING THERE. THIS IS UNFORTUNATE FOR THE DOCTORS--THEY ARE GOOD!
