He's a ghost
He's a ghost. I saw him approximately September 2024 for a painful herniated disk and he said my only option was surgery. His scheduler called me just after the IV solution shortage hit and said I would be called as soon as. I monitored the shortage through December and hadn't heard from Core Institute so called in early January 2025 for an update. He was no where to be found so I had to start the whole process over. I am hopeful my new surgeon will have me taken care of in March. Mayuran had caused me excruciating pain for months when it would have been simple to have someone call me. He disgusts me.

1- Doctor listening is all needed for proper care!
I have a verity of issues. Been to doctor all telling me what it isn't. Finally he has a plan to start looking at what it is. After a year of feeling unheard by other doctors, I have faith he is going to get me fixed or in the right direction. When it comes to pain everywhere, and a laundry list of issues - he said let's start here and see what we can do to narrow it down.

disappointed
disappointment, i've been working on things that needed to get better, such as my A1c, and weight and to stop using nicotene since April 2024. to be prepared properly for this surgery. my body moved to the no weight loss stage of menapause which has made this extremely difficult to lose any weight, even not eating i was gaining weight. Doing exercise is painful on my knees, low back and my neck, head and shoulder area. Even so i still try to do something in the pool 3-4 days a week. Anyway, the thing is i was previously told by a dr at this same office that i needed the surgery and after all this struggle Dr Vikram says no to surgery. he wants to do the shots again that only work for about 4-6 weeks and then im back to square one again to see if it works better 'this time'. I'm doing what he wants but i'm not happy about it.

Terrible experiece with Dr. Sampath.
I would recommend you stay FAR away from Dr. Sampath and the CORE. Plain and simple, this organization is a True mess from every aspect I encountered. From scheduling, billing, all the way to pain management and the Surgeon,PAs. You are CATTLE to CORE. Plain and simple. My family was reffered here after 3 years of conservative pain management for severe cervical problems and lumbar sciatica with severe pain and decline in many functions.(We have tried everything asked of us)We had to schedule separate app for lumbar and then cervical reviews, both times told me an my family he did not see the herniation causing problems. Told us he was not the person to treat me and kicked us to a neurology clinic and back to pain management. I left and found another Surgeon elsewhere he Saw the problem, showed it to us,explained the pinching on the spinal cord and I am now in recovery after c5-6-7 Arthroplasty and he is looking at my lumbar for the pain source.

FIRST VISIT
Instead of trying to find out what the real problem was and working on that. First suggestion was medication. I had to make him go after finding the problem with an MRI. I mentioned other issues and he wouldn't address those.... said 1 thing at at time. Very disappointed.

See him if you are only in a rush
Dr Sampath was nice, but didn't really show any concern about my pain and where it was coming from. Just looked at the x-rays and basically followed the next step as in a text book. No real care or evaluation was done. I was in and out in 10mins

Most execelent
We both looked at the MRI images directly rather than relying on the written MRI report. This was a game changer

Great Doctor!
My first visit, it was basically a quick consultation type visit, I just had some questions about an MRI I had done in another town. I loved this doctor! He was so very nice and answered all my questions and actually showed me my MRI and explained everything on it. Highly recommend Dr Vikram Mayuran and the Core Institute!
