Dr Patel literally saved my brothers life and I would give him the absolute highest recommendation possible. Post emergency brain surgery, my brother was declining daily to the point of being unresponsive. We were told many times that there was nothing more to be done and we just needed to hope for the best. This did not feel right to our family and we kept pushing for answers. When Dr Patel was brought in for another opinion, he had a completely different diagnosis. Dr Patel changed my brother’s medication and told us he will wake up and recover within 24 hours. The next day, to our complete shock, my brother opened his eyes and starting speaking again. While others were focused on possible brain swelling concerns, Dr Patel noticed that my brother wasn’t getting enough blood flow and oxygen to his brain (a condition known as RCVS). We now know, my brother was dangerously close to a massive stroke or death had we not found Dr Patel when we did. Thank you Dr Patel.

Wow; My mother in law had a major stroke syndrome for which little could be done. Instead of running to the next patient, Dr Patel listened and explained matters to a grieving family in a way that was meaningful. He was more than a vasular neurologist, he was a caring human being.

Went into the hospital for blurred vision and migraines .. turned out I needed a spinal tap and venogram. Dr. Patel came to check on me and answered any questions I had to make me feel at ease! Great doctor and great bed side manners!

Dr Patel has treated me in the hospital with seizures. He was very thorough with diagnosis and explanation of my condition. He made himself available after my discharge to answer any question and help me make decisions related to my condition. An outstanding doctor with rare find of qualities together in his field knowledgeable caring and has patience.

Dr. Patel has every quality that one wishes for in a doctor. He masters one of the most challenging specialties in medicine with accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. He answered all my questions and was reassuring and caring. I am grateful to have him as my doctor.

Dr Patel was the saving grace for our family when my mother had a stroke. Amidst all of the chaos, stress, and millions of questions we had, he was calm, compassionate, knowledgeable and always available. He is a rare find and a blessing to whomever is in his care.

I suffered a stroke while playing Pickleball & lost my peripheral vision. My girlfriend rushed me to Mt Sinai Hospital South Nassau, and Dr Patel immediately ordered tests to diagnose my stroke. He quickly ordered TPA to break up the clot in time to save my vision and my life. I'm extremely grateful for his knowledge and quick actions.

Dr. Patel treated my mother during a life changing event, a massive stroke. Once the blockage was removed, Dr. Patel took her from an unstable environment, bleeding / hemorrhagic , to a stable, trustworthy life. With out Dr. Patel's involvement my mother would not have had much to look forward to. But now at least has a long road ahead, with everything to look forward to.

Dr Patel is one of the best doctors I’ve met. After spending almost 5 years suffering daily life destroying headaches, debilitating pain and blurred vision it felt like there was little hope left. Dr Patel thoroughly investigated my symptoms, their timeline, my medical history and all the medications and treatments I’d tried. He suggested several potential treatment options that my other doctors had never mentioned, and the particular medication he prescribed was extremely effective. Things are gradual but I started to get my life back in less than a week and I couldn’t be more grateful! I feel so lucky to have found a doctor so knowledgeable, proactive and solution - focused, who listens carefully, explains things in detail, provides options and follows up after appointments. Dr. Patel treated me for an intracranial hemorrhage. The testing following the diagnosis was very thorough and he patiently answered all of the questions I had during subsequent follow up appointments.

Dr. Patel is currently treating my father who had a series of mini strokes and is having other health issues. He explains things clearly and patiently and is very kind. My Girlfriend was admitted to Hospital and Dr Patel was contacted for Neuro Consult. He was very thorough and after many tests and several scans he spent the time to review all the findings and explain what was happening and we followed up after the visit to make sure everything was OK. He’s excellent and well trained .

Dr. Patel is always respectful, patient, and thorough during our appointments. He listens carefully to my problems and works with me to find the best treatment plan for me. I would highly recommend him if you need to see a neurologist.

As attending neurologist, Dr. Patel provided exceptional, compassionate service to my sister who was hospitalized at Mt. Sinai South Nassau a month ago, and continues to follow-up and be of assistance with the staff at the nursing facility where my sister resides.

I was an advocate for a friend who lives in Brooklyn. I live in MA. She has had a severe negative reaction to the COVID 19 vaccine second dose. She had been to hospital twice with fear of a heart attack. The muscles around her heart were sizzling and tightening. Nothing was found and yet the condition worsened. My friend was directed to the medical group where Dr. Patel practices. She saw a cardiologist first, who felt that this condition could be more neurologic. She was sent to see Dr. Patel. I was on the phone during all visits to help translate. From the beginning, Dr. Patel showed patience, care, empathy and concern toward the patient. He recommended a number of tests. We are still continuing with our efforts to relieve my friend’s side affects. During this period, I’ve reached out to Dr. Patel several times and he has always returned my calls. As a patient, I would want someone like Dr. Patel to care for me in my time of need.

Dr Patel was very respectful, listened to all of my concerns, provided excellent advice, and was very open to follow-up communication after testing. He is a great professional and I highly recommend.
