Dr. Videsha Kulkarni, MD

I've seen her for 10 years & it just keeps getting worse. She only communicates through northshoreconnect & eve then it's rarely her but instead her assistant. She failed to call or help me when I was in need of an urgent cat scan, "forgot" to contact me about a test & months later when I reached out asking about the results, she said "oops, you have _______ (a major disease)". Kind of a big diagnosis to forget about! Later I wasn't able to access my test on website, I asked her why & she had her assistant email me to say said they had no idea what was wrong & I needed to call the hospital myself "to figure it out." Don't get me started on the front desk folks, they are awful. In an attempt to give her the benefit of the doubt, I referred a relative to her years ago & he reported similar experience, said she was dismissive and in a hurry. Is she simply too busy? I don't know but it's not good.

Dr. Kulkarni is an excellent doctor. She has a kind and caring demeanor who really listens to me and my concerns. She is very thorough in her exams and she never makes me feel rushed during my exam. Scheduling appointments is easy and the wait time in the waiting room is minimal. It is always a wonderful experience with Dr. Kulkarni

I saw her for pain in my pelvic area. My husband and I had been trying to conceive but the pregnancy test was negative. She did a pap smear and I asked her to have a scan done but she stated, "what for? if they see a cyst we would just watch it and wouldn't do any intervention." 1 month later, I became pregnant. On my first OBGYN appt they found an 9cm cyst on my right ovary. I had a cystectomy when I was 15 weeks pregnant. This could have been prevented. But now I have baby precious girl.

While Dr. Kulkarni is a great doctor but NEVER returned a call. She communicates only through the North Shore Health email program. In the event of fillng presciptions, she let my daughter's lapse...twice. She lost my other daughters entire file from our pediatrician, said she would look into it and never called to apologize about the file or schedule the physical for my daughter. Lastly, I left a voicemail after being discharged from the ER and 4 days later needed to call back. Moving on...
