Gives out boots without any indication
This doctor is terrible. He rushed through the appointment and doesn’t listen to you at all. Everything is about money and he just gives you a boot almost regardless of what is wrong. He made me wear a boot for 6 weeks before he would send the referral for imaging so my whole life was disrupted with no evidence it was necessary. They also bill insurance for appointments when you pick something up and don’t even see the doctor. Worst experience I’ve ever had.

Not recommended
They are far more concerned with collecting money prior to billing insurance than they are about your health. The doctor does not seem to keep any records and frequently has no recollection of what he attempted to do during previous visits. Spends very little time with patients and is always in a rush.

Disappointing
It is important to note that the appointment in question was not my initial consultation for the treatment of my bunion. Rather, it was a follow-up to a previous appointment with a different doctor in a different county. While it has been some time since I sought treatment for my bunion, the recommended 18 weeks of intense therapy and the prescribed boot were not in line with my previous treatment plan. I am concerned about the unprofessional conduct exhibited by the doctor and feel a sense of responsibility to have reported this matter. I am returning to the original physician who had initially seen me to plan my surgery without the unnecessary and quick to demand so-called therapies “or else” insurance won’t cover the surgery.” It is imperative that the conduct of Dr. Villagonzalo be reviewed and addressed accordingly.I have also escalated this matter to the insurance company, medical board, and attorney general's office. Lastly, I wrote a bill to prevent these kinds of issues.

Very bad experience! I should have read his reviews before going to see him. He was very impatient and did not explain anything. His assistant is also rude and not professional at all. They charge the insurance each time you see him even if it is 3 times in the same week to just take measurements for shoe inserts. He is not interested to treat his patients but just to get their money.

Beware/Highly disappointed
This doctor was quick in and out on three occasions. Lastly, he said, “Give me something to cut or remove. Don’t cut your toenails for one month and come back.” Even though I asked him to look at the damaged toenails from poorly fitting shoes and my nails are growing into my toes as they grow out. He Promised a referral to the Hanger Clinic for orthopedic shoes and never followed through. He doubles & triple books appointments. Beware!!

I had to force him to explain his recommendations. He pressured me to have surgery for a condition I have been managing without surgery for ten years. He did not listen to my concerns and what I know about my own body, and he made assumptions about my lifestyle (e.g., exercise level) based on the way I look.

Didn't help foot pain and questions billing practices. Insisted I take two orthotic boots I said I didn't need or want - using them didn't help either. They billed me 4 months after service and two days after I paid my final bill. Bunch of scam artists. Billing lady, Mona, laughed at me when I was trying to understand and rectify everything, then denied she did.
