Wonderful doctor!
Dr. Winkler was exceeding helpful with my upper respiratory issues, she has been my doctor for several years, I find her proactive, direct, warm, and she stays on top of my health when I cannot.

no thanks.
Does not seem to care or look to understand the human she is treating. Truly one of the worst experiences I’ve had in healthcare. Throws antidepressants at you without listening or believing your own ability to know what you need. Does not partner with nor advocate for the patient. Seems burnt out and hardened. Missing the crucial piece of compassion in healthcare.

Poor communication skills
She is not the doctor for you if need an explanation of her conclusions. It seems to annoy her if you don't take her at her word, and have follow-up questions. What she might view as expectation-setting (many medical symptoms will never lead to a definitive diagnosis) comes off as defeatism to the patient, as though you're wasting your time and hers by persisting in trying to resolve your symptoms.

Saw her 3 times in 4 years-1&2) reg physical, 3)follow up tests for new symptoms. She failed to read my chart before my appointment, missing that I went to ER & additional tests run. Despite physical symptoms- fainting three times over the last month and having only one period in the last 4 months, she refused to run hormone tests, instead suggested Prozac, no investigation into my mental state to warrant prescription. Want to wait weeks for antidepressants instead of answers? Give her a go.
