Dr. Vera Denmark, MD

After waiting six months for a GI appointment and then another six months for an endoscopy with my previous GI practice, I knew I had to make a change but where? Finally found my answer with Denmark Digestive Health. The office is very zen-like, Lilly is wonderful and Dr. Denmark is amazing! She was able to fit me in with an in-person appointment and endoscopy all within a couple of weeks. She's compassionate, knowledgeable and, to me most importantly, holistic, as she links all the systems in your body together, especially the mind-gut connection. If you're feeling unheard in your current GI medical care, contact Denmark Digestive Health today - it's worth the concierge fee. My only regret is that I didn't find this practice sooner!

Miraculously, after 1 visit, by prescribing the correct medications, Dr. Denmark cured me of my uncomfortable digestive symptoms of the last 10 years!Acid indigestion, IBS-C, FODMAP diet...nothing gave me the relief that I needed. It became very apparent that Dr. Denmark's background in research, knowledge and expertise solved the decade-long health issues that my former gastroenterologist could not. So many additional pluses- a beautiful office, so welcoming that it makes you relax as soon as you arrive, from Lilly's greeting offering coffee or hot chocolate, to Dr. Denmark herself. Incredibly warm and thoughtful, she immediately puts you at ease. I am so fortunate that she was so highly recommended to me.

Dr. Denmark saw me right away. I had something that was not life-threatening, but nagging and annoying. Dr. Denmark knew immediately what the issue was. In one week I was feeling better. She listened and was very compassionate and I thank her enough for that. Lilly Is the office manager and she is wonderful. She is kind and is so helpful. Had a scheduled colonoscopy performed by Dr. Denmark, who told me to call her to get biopsy results after a week. When I called, her assistant wouldn't let me leave a message. She said 'the doctor already gave you a diagnosis.' I still had questions about the biopsy. When I described my symptoms, the secretary prescribed me medication without going over possible side effects!

I called Dr. Denmark' s office where her assistant, Lilly, helped accommodate my wish to choose my doctor. I am forever grateful. I'd check every box EXCELLENT and 5 stars for Dr. Denmark.

We were taken in to exam room early but doctor was 30 minutes behind. She was absolutely “worth waiting for”!!! Likely she was providing excellent care to a needy patient and that’s why she sometimes runs late. She was very attentive, thorough, thoughtful and patient. She pondered our complex situation and made an assessment that was very helpful. Next steps will be coordination of procedures and providers. Our 90 minute visit was extremely educational and helpful. We are hopeful for the first time in 8 months; 3 hospitals and many providers were not as efficient as our beloved Dr. Denmark.

Dr. Vera Denmark is a very patient Physician! She helped me come off the medication and change my diet to prevent me from having acid reflux disease! She is very thorough and thoughtful and always examined me very carefully!

Did not help me figure out what was wrong with my gut, basically told me that I didn't have anything wrong, without doing any testing. She seemed annoyed that I even made an appointment with her. It turns out I have IBS, and gluten and lactose intolerant. Set me back a year and a half in healing the way I should have been healing my gut. She gave me a small list of foods I could eat, leaving me in a lot of confusion. When I followed up with questions, I could not get in touch.

Dr Denmark is welcoming and calming. She is a great listener and does an outstanding job of aligning with the patient to assess patient and symptoms. Dr Denmark explained her analysis of my situation in clear, easy to understand language, and wrote out a plan of action that included all of my concerns. She was able to diagnose a condition that I have had for years, that kept getting worse. No previous Dr was able to help me. I am now on the mend and so happy that I was lucky enough to find her.

Dr. Denmark is the most compassionate/intuitive/brilliant medical professional I've ever had the privilege of getting an appointment for consultation. Walking in with fears and leaving with sound, practical advice has made me understand that with aging, you have to change your diet. The terrible stabbing pain ceased. She listened and with questions and answers, got right to the problem.She spent a lot of time with me. Thank you so much.

Experienced and knowledgeable about GI issues. Dr. Denmark was quick and efficient with my exam and diagnosis. The surgical center was totally overbooked the day I went for my exam, but these things happen.

Dr. Denmark is an attentive listener who understands her patients and their concerns. She impressed me with her extensive knowledge in her area of expertise. I like that she does research in her field which indicates she is up on the latest findings. I had seen many doctors with my issue, she nailed it with her diagnose and explained everything in detail.

Dr. Denmark was concerned, knowledgable and on point about my symptoms. She is extremely compassionate and capable. I would definitely recommend her.

Being a senior and having lived with ulcerative colitis since my early 20s, it was a breath of fresh air to deal with Dr. Denmark. Not only one of the most knowledgeable physicians I have ever encountered but was extremely patient, warm and caring. She listened to me and was willing to explain, until I understood, the medical plan of action she advised. I never felt rushed. She was non judgmental, informative and compassionate.

This woman is a saint she is an AMAZING DOCTOR so compassionate adorable intelligent woman who addresses every concern indepth detail regardless of how long it takes I'm just blown away by the extent this doctor goes to take care of her patients absolutely 5 stars without a doubt goes the extra mile for people does not judge whatsoever either so understanding love her

Over an hour late every appointment. Didn't explain answers to my questions clearly. Felt worse coming out than I did going in. Kept pushing medications that didn't work.
