Dr. Vatsala Topiwala, MD

Made appointment for my two kids, both are ER follow-ups. She asked questions that did not even make sense (such as asking my younger one's milk volume when I told her I was breastfeeding), yelled at me when I tried to clarify. She also refused to answer any follow up questions and insisted I should schedule another wellness check for the questions related to the ER follow ups. Meanwhile, she was really rough when examining my kids and impatient when my 5-year-old could not precisely follow her instruction. My elder one even got scared after seeing her. She has 0 care on kid, rushed to conclude my kids have the same illness, even lied that she checked the test results(everything was fine, leave your kids alone), just to get us out of the examination room. I don't know why she becomes a pediatrician if she hates kids so much.

I do not know why Dr. Topiwala has negative reviews. She is a doctor, she makes sure kids are fine, she is not a playmate. My family really likes her as she goes straight to the point. The only issue I can understand is that she wears face mask and it can be hard to hear her at times.

Awful! Have seen her three times now, and she should not be a children's doctor. Rude and doesn't accommodate your needs/wants for your children. Acted as if I didn't know what I was doing or that I knew how to take care of my own child. Definitely consider seeing someone else!

My first visit was terrible. I don’t think shes fit to be a Children’s doctor because she is not friendly and gentle. It’s hard to understand what she was saying and rude.

Have to wait far too long especially considering what you are waiting for...hard to understand what she is saying and she is just a rude person who I don’t even think actually likes children.

We avoid her each time we can, but that Saturday she was the only doctor available. She sent my son home with a bandage while his thumb was developing an infection, visibly swollen and extremely tender to the touch. An Xray was performed and cleared him from a sprain or broken bones diagnostic. Her conclusion was that we should have iced his thumb. We took our son to the ER right after our visit where the infection I suspected was confirmed. She doesn't listen and was rough when examining.
