Dr. Vasu Murthy, MD

Dr. Murphy quickly became my favorite PCP during my very first visit a few years ago. He was extremely attentive, humble, understanding and nonjudgmental. He was honestly the most down-to-earth doctor I’ve had the chance of meeting. I loved his flexibilty, and genuine concern for the wellbeing of his patients. He would sometimes go out of his way to give you a call, in the case of emergency, or even offer video visits for convenience. Even with the first waves of COVID- when we were on lockdown- he was so knowledgeable to the point he was able to diagnose and treat by appointments via video or actively listening over the phone. As you can imagine, within those few years, he has had several medical assistants. All of them were also very welcoming, caring and kind. However, his most recent one, Miranda, is the reason I will no longer be a patient of Dr. Murphy. I have been with Dr. Murphy since the start of my various health issues over 16 years. I have never had another doctor like him. He absolutely cares about his patients. He takes the time to talk and listen, not just rush you out the door. He has been a blessing to me and my care!!! There is no other Dr to recommend Dr Murthy is the Angel sent to care for us all!!!

Dr. Murthy has been a godsend for me and my family. If not for him I don't know what my life would be like today. From my very first appointment with him, he determined the real problems I had, which my previous physician regarded as part and parcel of another problem. Perhaps the biggest moment was in the hospital after a bad accident, and after all the specialists came and left, not able to determine what was wrong, he sat with me asked yes or no questions, because I was unable to speak, touched my neck, saw it was swollen and knew instantly what the problem was. A great thing about him is that he listens to you, every little thing, and uses that to help you. No piece of information about how you feel is too small.

I've always been pleased with Dr. Murthy's knowledge, comfortable interaction style, and with the amount of information he provides. He has caught problems early and gone out of his way to clearly explain test results, treatment options. He also seems to attend to the potential cost of various treatments more than other docs I've seen. I highly recommend.
