Balance-billed me for my hospital stay. Was out-of-network and did not inform me. Sent me a huge surprise medical bill. My insurance paid him their out-of-network amount. His staff harassed me to keep calling my insurance and ask them to pay more. I had to file a grievance and my insurance paid more. His staff continued to harass me for every last penny. He takes advantage of vulnerable people in emergency rooms, sees them even though he knows he is out-of-network for the patient's insurance co., & sends them an outrageous bill. His staff says that his liability is high. Is that my problem or fault? My opinion is that he is a swindler & grifter! He only cares about money and probably makes most of his money by balance-biling out-of-network patients. I would never recommend him or JFK Medical Center. He is probably prowling around the emergency room right now, looking to screw over elderly people who think they might have the coronavirus.

I agree with the other 1 star reviews. When he entered my hospital room the first thing he said was "Why am I here?" He didn't even introduce himself. He asked a couple questions and left. Two days later he showed up with a group of other doctors doing their rounds. I was sent a bill for almost $1000 for nothing. The insurance paid almost $500. He insisted I pay the balance or I would be sued. So I paid the balance and then he settled for an additional $211 to settle the balance from the insurance. So now he has been paid the entire bill plus an additional $400+ over what he agreed to accept. He has refunded nothing to me. This man is a thief and should be totally ashamed of himself.

This man has no compassion for his patients. Despite providing my insurance coverage his only concern was how to bill my visit. He was not even aware of the most recent recommended treatments for my health issues.
