Doctor's staff support
Telehealth
Dr. Womack's staff is poorly trained in support of the doctor. The doctor's internet information indicates that she will take new patients. Well that's not true. The staff refused to place me on the future (6 mos) schedule, even when a long term heart doctor recommended Dr. Womack.

Surgical release
First visit to see Dr. Womack. Very professional very nice very thorough. Went in for a surgical release and she took time to ask questions and make sure that I was able to undergo surgery. Highly recommend.

One of the BEST doctors I’ve ever had — and I’m 75
When my PCP cut back from two days a week to one, I started looking for a new doctor. I searched long & hard for a hands-on family practitioner who was close, affiliated with our wonderful hospital, not getting ready to retire, accepted my Medicare Advantage insurance AND new patients and was, preferably, female. I had decided on Dr Womack and had had an initial visit with her which included a full lab workup and several referrals to excellent specialists when I learned that my PCP had elected to go to 100% “telemedicine”! I felt like I had escaped just in time! Dr Womack not only met my expectations, she has exceeded them. I have since had repeat lab work and have just seen her again. She’s my idea of a perfect doctor. She’s bright, alert, attentive, sensitive to both spoken and unspoken cues, and has a marvelous staff. From my first contact with her scheduler I knew this was a good decision, and now, several visits later, I think it’s one of the best choices I have ever made.

Changing Doctors ASAP
Extremely unprofessional and doesn’t care about her patients. My first visit with her was after my previous doctor resigned. She immediately began bad-mouthing my previous doctor, barely stopping short of accusing him of being incompetent. She clearly didn’t realize that I’ve known him for nearly 20 years and that he is a well-respected, very caring and extremely competent physician. In a million years he would never have spoken about another physician like that to a patient. Fast forward to my most recent (aka 3rd visit) with her and she sat on my biopsy results for a week, didn’t even bother to return my calls or review my results until I called to complain. Even then, she did not call me. Instead she had her nurse call me with the results and, despite multiple requests, hasn’t scheduled me for treatment. Just an awful doctor. That’s the best I can say about her. AWFUL.

Today was my first visit to Dr. Womack.  It was for my annual Physical.  She was very patient, through, and congenial.  My previous PCP has retired and I am making her my new PCP.  The reviews I have seen here do not reflect my experience at all.  I also notice that they are all from many months ago, so maybe something has changed.  I went to her on the recommendation of a friend who had a good experience as well.

Timing is Everything
I had my first visit with Dr. Womack early January 2022. She was warm and approachable and had some 'good' beside manners. While she did appear to be rough arond the edges, she is thorough, knowledgable and provided an array of valuable information, optons and recommendations.

Horrible bedside manners
During my visit, I had to argue with the physician about my medical care needs. As I gave her my medical history, she came across rude, arrogant, and argumentative. She seems well-versatile in her field; however, did not feel comfortable. Maybe she should take a class on interpersonal communication.

If you care at all about your health, you will RUN as fast as you can AWAY from Vanessa Womack as she is a bully and a terrible physician. She argued with me about having "degenerative disc disease" and told me "there is no such thing" DESPITE me being diagnosed with that (it is in writing) by an orthopedist and the radiologist also used the same terminology on my diagnostic report. She also argued with me when I refused a whooping cough vaccination (I am single w/ no kids, never around kids) and told me what a horrible person I am and how guilty I should feel that kids get sick from whooping cough. She will push unnecessary drugs and procedures, probably b/c she gets a kickback. This woman should not be allowed to practice medicine. She isn't even worthy of anything more than shoveling manure.

Talk to your therapist, not your doctor! This most definitely applies to Dr. Womack. After going in for my annual wellness visit, Dr. Womack suggested that I received a Tetanus shot. I had no intention on receiving this shot during this visit, but I received it based on her recommendation. I was surprised to receive a bill from North Atlanta Primary Care as my wellness visits are cover 100% by my insurance. Apparently, when Dr. Womack SUGGESTED this vaccine, I was hit with an $81.00 outpatient visit as a result of her telling me about this Tetanus Vaccine. Let me be clear, the Tetanus vaccine and the administering of the vaccine was also covered at 100%. However, I feel Dr. Womack convinced me to get a vaccine, simply to charge me more. I have been going to North Atlanta Primary Care for the last 3 years, but this past September will be my final visit. Please just get your tests and do not discuss anything with your physician during your preventative care visits.

I told her my symptoms and she argued with me. Told me it was an impossibility. Switched PCPs and the care was completely different. Will she argue and ignore your concerns as well?

About a year ago I went in to see Dr. Womack for odd symptoms that were persistent and getting worse. I assumed since I'm outside for work a lot that I was severely dehydrated or had heat exhaustion. She recognized the symptoms as potentially lyme disease, and was able to catch it early enough that she literally saved me from a lifetime of suffering and I was able to be cured of it. She expertise was amazing, I'm so glad I found her!

Wish I could give her a zero. Worst doctor I’ve ever seen - fmgave her 2 chances and she misdiagnosed both times and cost me a fortune in useless prescriptions, second opinions and specialists. Terrible.

SHE'S ONLY GETTING A 1 BC I CANT GIVE HER A 0. I went into the office for potential strep. She gave me no meds, and had the nerve to say they don't prescribe narcotics. "Did I ask you for narcotics?" No I did not. Then to top it off, she left and went out of town and did not get me my results. I had to call back and wait until another doc could read me my results. Mind you IM STILL IN PAIN. This is not the way to treat a patient. They make the money but we suffer. NEVER AGAIN!
