Dr. Vanessa Costilla, MD

I started seeing Dr. Costilla in Sep 2020. Took 6 weeks to get the first appointment, another 4 for follow up, another 6 for procedure, another 4 for results. Scheduled a 6 month follow up that the office canceled in July 2021 (mailed me a letter three days before notifying me that they had cancelled my appointment) and says their next available is Sep 2021. So a full year from when I started seeing her and not only is my issue not resolved, the treatment plan she prescribed isn't working but it is impossible to get into see her in a timely fashion. The doctor herself is nice enough, but the scheduling and care leaves much to be improved upon.

She is the doctor of my mom. She is good, honest and explain everything. We like her. She is very pleasant and answers all the questions we have. We highly recommend her.

I’ve been waiting for six weeks to hear back from this office on a test they were scheduling for my daughter. I’ve called six times with zero results. They finally called me back but never have any answers. The other test finally was scheduled and given but it’s been 9 days it happened and I don’t have any results. They should have had them back last week. What is going on in that office? Why does it take 6 weeks to schedule the test? The insurance approved it and it’s about to expire. Why can’t they give me the results? This is ridiculous. The doctors was pleasant but eager to leave in the fifteen minute appointment after waiting over an hour to be seen. I know we are dealing with COVID, i get there are delays but why do I have to call so many times with no results?

Down to earth and easy to talk to. She has a great bedside manner, very thorough, caring and doesn't rush you out the door.
