Mr. Vance McCollum did not listen to his patient, dismissed her every time she tried to explain what she was experiencing (even after he asked), was rude, cold, and acted bothered with the fact he had to be in the same room as her. He had a scheduled procedure with her and after she waited in a waiting room for 3.5 hours, he had the gall to tell her he would not do the procedure and accused her of completely unrelated stuff (would go into full detailif HIPPA would allow). He then called security, said he wasn’t a certain kind of doctor (which literally made zero sense if I could say exactly what was said) and said the patient needed things which he said completely out of being dismissive and to be disrespectful in all our opinion. Security arrived after nobody did anything to cause them to be called and McCollum disappeared. Security apologized to our family, as did staff. Then, after calling the hospital to complain, we received multiple apologies from the hospital and were told that

Dr. McCollum repaired an unruptured aneurysm for me. It was a miracle it was found unruptured to begin with and I was terrified by the things that could have gone wrong but Dr. McCollum did everything right. As a result, to date, I have had none of the negative outcomes that could have happened. I trusted Dr. McCollum with my life and he did not disappoint.
