Dr. Valentina Popova, MD

My wife took our daughter to Dr Popova twice in the past year, once in late August 2024 and then in late September or early October. Our daughter who was 13 at the time, suffers from severe headaches and was looking for relief.The first time they visited with Popova they came home not impressed with Popova's overall attitude or diagnosis. She came across as indifferent and somewhat crude in her dealing with our 13 year old daughter. The second time, my wife and daughter came back distraught by Popova's very poor bedside manners and complete lack of empathy. Even my daughter commented at the time that the doctor cold not be bothered. Popova's follow up was to meet again in a few months. When I heard that I started thinking that the doctor is simply prolonging the treatment period not being able to determine why. I had visions of going back to her again and again, with no tangible outcome, all the while our daughter was greatly suffering from her headaches.I would not recommend.

Went for my 14 year old son with constant headaches which are worse in the morning. She was very thorough and very nice. My son was very comfortable with her. Explained everything and was patient with all my many questions. Seemed very knowledgable and was able to adjust treatment for my son who is diabetic and therefor can not go the traditional route of steroids. Would definitely recommend.

Dr. Popova is one of the rudest doctors I have ever met. She is terrible. She does not care about her patients. She rolls her eyes at you. She does not listen and has no empathy. She should not be in a specialty where sensitive people are coming in looking for help for their problems because she does not care. She is also abandoning her patients for 6 months maternity leave. Never gave anyone notice or any backup plan for the time she will be away. Just up and abandoned. Avoid her at all costs. She deserves 0 stars.

Dr. Popova was impatient, rude, and condescending throughout my visit, going so far as to roll her eyes as I described my symptoms and the treatment other specialists at her hospital had prescribed to me. Worst bedside manner of any doctor I have encountered. I left with several new medications and a new procedure scheduled but she cut me off each time I tried to ask questions. Terrible experience.

Dr Popova took the time to listen to my concerns and discuss my daughter’s migraines with her. Her treatment plan was reasonable and conservative. Her follow up & responsiveness to questions between appointments was timely and thorough.

Dr. Popova did not become a doctor because she cares about people because she does not.

Dr. Popova was impatient and did not listen to my concerns before merely prescribing medication and suggesting I come back in a few months.
