No human touch
Dr S is an outstanding clinician He however treats his patients as cases not as people. No bedside manner no personality. I have seen him numerous times and every time it is the same.

Lack of Compassion
Total lack of compassion for my elderly father. You don’t just casually tell a person “you have cancer”. Very uncaring attitude and follow up regarding test results. Would not recommend this person.

Buyer Beware
I know something about what excellent patient experience looks like, and I speak to healthcare organizations around the county on this subject and have published several articles. Dr. Subramamian is not an example. I chose him to help track down the cause of some intermittent blood in my urine. A family friend, a radiologist, looked and observed something that was missed by the radiologist who provided the report to Dr. Subramanian. I was shocked & deeply disappointed at Dr. S's reaction. He told me my radiologist friend was just wrong, that this item did not exist. His attitude was one of not caring, not interested, and his work was done. It felt like I had just been used for money. He did not offer up his time or interest to investigate this finding further, nor did he help me with my questions about what to do now. He left me hanging. Whatever happened to the Hippocratic Oath? The office staff came across as not enjoying their job, making me feel I was just an interruption to them.

Saw him once and never will again
This Dr. has a basic attitude problem to his patient. I saw him for the first time and he made me feel that either he hates me, he hates his job, or he hates his childhood, etc. For a very common issue, not only he doesn't have an explanation for me he also ask me what do I want him to do.

Dr. Subramanian has been my Urologist for many years, and I have always been impressed by his professionalism, and calm, caring demeanor. He performed a TURP procedure on me in late 2019, which quite literally changed my life for the better. Prior to the procedure, three separate nurses, at three separate times, told me that he's a fantastic doctor, and a volunteer at the front desk told me that he had once saved her life. I am very thankful he's my doctor, and I can't imagine trusting anyone else with my care.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Subramanian?
He didn’t spend much time with me at all. He didn’t seem interested in answering my questions and brushed off a couple concerns I had without giving a reason why. He proceeded to delay my care by prescribing a name brand medication that costs more than $600 WITH insurance and GoodRx had no coupons for it. It has taken over a week to get an alternative medication. I will never go see him again.

Dr Subramainian has my doctor for about 4 years and has been awesome. Competent, compassionate and patiently answers all questions. He explains options very well. His staff has always been terrific. The only possible area of improvement would be in making it easier to contact his office. Calls go thru a corporate call center and can be problematic, however, doctor and his staff are terrific.

×Post a ResponseAre you Dr. Subramanian?
I have recommended Dr. Subramanian to several friends after two office visits. He was helpful in his assessment, explanation, and treatment of my issues. While a little matter of fact in his attitude, I found that to be OK given he's a competent doctor. He's nurse was courteous and very experienced and capable. The receptionist is the weak link in this office, forgetting to write down appointments, not knowing what insurance they accept, scheduling follow ups on wrong dates.
