Dr. Usman Zafar, MD

I have been seeing Dr Zafar for many years now. He has absolutely changed my life regarding low back Facet joint pain and SI issues. Dr. Zafar takes so much time with me and always has a plan regarding my low back. He is kind, caring, extremely intelligent and truly cares. I have recommended many friends to him (including my husband for hip pain)and he has exceeded their expectations. I have taught elementary school for a long time and constantly bending and standing up. Because of Dr Zafar, I was able to keep working and I’ll forever be grateful for him. What a gem! The staff are great too and always upbeat and supportive. Thank goodness for Dr’s like Dr. Zafar. A true hero-

I highly recommend Dr Zafar! I cannot begin to tell you how GREAT he is! For most of my adult life I have suffered with cervical and lumbar pain. I have had 2 major surgeries replacing all of my discs in my C-spine, but still in pain! Now I am experiencing lumbar pain. I finally decided to see Dr Z about relieving my pain. I was so relieved when he told me he could help me without another surgery! He spent so much time with me, explaining all of the interventions he could offer me, explaining each one in detail! Never once did I feel hurried! He was so kind and caring, has a wonderful bedside manner and so knowledgeable about what he can do to help you in layman’s terms! I truly am grateful to have found him! It may sound funny, but I look forward to my visits with him because I know when I walk out of his office we have a plan of action to get me out of pain! I know I can count on him for the long run for a healthy C-spine and back! Shout out also to his choice of a PT, Dr. Aguilar!

I just started seeing Dr. Zafar for a condition that in my back that has been impacting my overall wellness since I was 17 years old. Dr. Zafar was both professional and informative. I really appreciated that he did not push medication or surgery on me and that he was thorough in his explanation of the interventions he was recommending. Top notch practice. Excellent staff. Dr. Zafar has been tremendously helpful for my spinal condition and helping me avoid surgery and manage my pain. After diagnosing me and explaining my condition thoroughly, as well as all the treatment options, I underwent two treatments and am essentially pain free. Dr. Usman Zafar is the best! He helped me manage my pain while doctors were trying to figure out if it was my hip or my back. Dr. Zafar ordered a hip MRI, I had surgery and have no pain. I will definitely return in future if I have any more pain issues even tho I have to travel 2-1/2 hrs to get there. Highly recommend.

Dr Zafar and his staff are top notch! Very percise and professional and I've been to a lot of pain managment doctors over the years and he's by far the best yet! Explained the procedure and what to expect for post op.

Wow what a sharp young man. I was worried because I first wanted Dr. Bassam to do my injection, bit wow Dr Zafar is nothing short of excellent. I should have known though. Both Dr Bassam and Dr Siddiqui are wonderful so of course Dr Zafar is great too. The beat spine practice anywhere around DC bar none
