6 months ago I had twins with Dr. Parks. I had a bad experience with both the and birth. Her medical assistant took days and multiple phone calls to answer my questions. Her assistant does not communicate with Dr. Parks. She didn’t know that I called about bleeding or high blood pressure when I came in for my next appointment. I had hyperemesis and gestational hypertension and I had to call multiple times to ask for the medication Dr. Parks prescribed during the appointment to be called in. I delivered at 37 weeks. After refusing to be pressured into a scheduled C-section, she induced me. I told Dr. Parks and my labor nurse that I did not want an episiotomy. While I was pushing Dr. Parks picked up a scalpel and the nurse reminded her I did not want one. She said “I don’t care” and did it and then also used a vacuum to get him out. She immediately said I needed a C-section for baby b. During my vaginal delivery I experienced a urethral tear. Dr. Parks repaired it incorrectly and I hemorrhaged for a couple hours before my labor nurse saw the open tear. It had to be repaired by the doctor on call. I had to get 4 units of blood as a result. When I went for my 6 week postpartum visit Dr. Parks was in the room for 5 minutes and did not do an exam. At this time I was still having high blood pressure and severe pain and she did not prescribe new medications or investigate the cause of the pain. She just told me to come back in 2 weeks. I started seen a new OB after that.

Wonderful Doctor!
We came to Dr. Parks at my one week check up after a terrible first pregnancy experience with another Dr. We were so unhappy we didn’t even see the old dr at the check up. We met with Dr. Parks and haven’t turned back! She is direct, to the point, gives all info. you ask for and has a wonderful beside manner! She has delivered 2 (almost 3) of my babies by c-section and is great! Katrina, her nurse, is amazing and is very easy to talk with/get along with and makes the process even better. They do have a pretty long wait time in the office which can be inconvenient so be ready to wait, but it’s worth the care you receive. They do tend to go through receptionists… (and they can be rude at times) but I’m sure that’s more on the office manager/ment than her. It has seemed a little different now they have hired new Drs to work in the office, but that doesn’t change the care you receive from Dr. Parks!

14 years of care
Dr. Parks has been my OBGYN for the last 14 years, and I can honestly say she has been amazing. She is personable, and genuinely cares about what’s best for your health, as well as the baby’s. I would recommend her to anyone! She’s honestly the best.

She is definitely in it for the money, double books and then rushes through your appointment. She is snobbish and takes her time getting to the room after chitchatting with other staff, staff is also rude and her nurse doesn't call with results until you've already called to remind her in the inbox. I would recommend any other obgyn because she isn't it. Also expect waiting an hour before they call you back, then another 15 mins in a separate room before actually waiting on her to get to the actual room you receive your appointment in.

Horrible Communication
I moved from out of state and was excited to visit Dr. Parks base off her reviews I found online. I overlooked the ones mentioning her lack of follow up thinking those were isolated incidents. I guess I was one of the unlucky ones…My experience was not what I expected - so much so that I had to find a new OBGYN at my 8 month mark. While Dr. Parks provides you with fine service (the same service you’d find anywhere), what made me change OBGYN’s was her staffs (especially her Assistant Katrina) lack of follow up EVERY STEP OF THE WAY. I had to follow up for EVERYTHING - have a test performed, I’d have to follow up; have an appointment change, I’d have to follow up; get results in, I’d have to follow up; have an emergency where I’d needed advice before going to the ER, here I didn’t even get a response after a day of waiting and numerous calls. Every step of the way they lacked communication - It was either INCREDIBLY slow or NOT AT ALL. Dr. Parks needs to realize that her office provides

I have had a great experience with Dr. Parks, she is not warm and fuzzy, she tells you facts and let’s you know your options and her suggestions, which is what I want in a doctor. I had a scheduled c-section which I had one already with my first baby (another doctor and state) the whole process from beginning to end of pregnancy was great, scaring is minimal, and recovery was same as my first and exactly how it was explained. The only negative feedback is wait time in the office can be long!

Rude, unsympathetic, no concern for addressing any stated issues. Snobbish and condescending when answering questions. Horrible office staff. Worst experience with a doctor of any kind I've had.

Didn't have a very good experience from the beginning. I was carrying my baby boy who was measuring to be a whole week ahead. She suggested that I do a c section because of my smaller frame. I eventually told her I'm doing it vaginally and she had a way about her that I couldn't do it. I went into labor at 3 in the morning And had to wait on her for 30 minutes when I was already dialated to a 10 when she got there she was the one who seemed inconvenienced. I did it vaginally no complications

Worst I've ever seen. Truly awful staff. They are very rude and impatient without remorse. Dr.Parks on the other hand seems nice, yet blows off any of my concerns. She rushes through appointments and leaves questions half answered. 2/10 would recommend.

I have been with Dr.Parks for 8 years and have seen her for obstetrics and gynecology. She delivered our last baby and it was the easiest delivery out the 3 that I had, she is very knowledgeable and explains things in a way that you understand. Her bedside manner is great! I recently had laparoscopic surgery and she was very throu and again was genuine. I would recommend her to anyone
