Excellent, thorough, compassionate.
I was pleased to be referred to Dr Mereau, she helped me get through a rough stress fracture, great follow up care, and further referral to an endocrinologist.

I saw Dr. Mereau for a broken sesamoid. I was in a lot of pain, and the nurse was extremely insensitive to my pain level while conducting the x-rays. She even mocked me as I struggled to put weight on my toe for one x-ray. Dr. Mereau immediately jumped to saying that I needed surgery. She wasn't interested in trying non-invasive/conservative treatment. Luckily I sought a 2nd opinion, my new doctor put me in a boot and I do NOT need surgery. I do not trust Dr. Mereau. Stay away!!

Dr. Mereau focused on trying to get me to buy unnecessary medical testing when I came in with questions on how to treat plantar fasciitis. She was very patronizing toward me and did not provide helpful advice on how to treat the foot pain I came in for, only saying, "you can ice it". She focused on trying to get me to buy expensive testing to "prevent future problems" and talked to me like a child when I told her I was there to treat the plantar fasciitis. Her nurse was also belittling.

I am very fortunate to have Dr Mereaux as my Dr and surgeon. She has operated twice on me with outstanding results. Twice she gave me my life back from injuries, and I am forever grateful. The staff in the office are professionals in every way, with a personal touch that was much appreciated. They genuinely care about you. I will continue to send her people I know with foot problems. Thank you again for all the great care. You guys are the best. G. Costello

Dr Mereau has a great bedside manner. She provided me with thorough information about my bunionectomy so that I felt completely comfortable about my surgery decision. My surgery went really well and I am so happy that I chose Dr Mereau as my surgeon.

Dr. Mereau is one of those Doctors that appears to care more about billing your insurance than patient care. I'm in a great deal of pain and after having an MRI per her recommendation she would not communicate with me unless I came to the office. I explained that the company I work for has me out of the state most of the month and she refused to offer advice to prevent any further damage or alleviate the pain. The Dr I have visited subsequently have been happy to help me.

The best DPM I've seen in Austin, and she's the 5th one I've been to. Very courteous and very sharp. Took the time necessary to understand my background and the foot condition.
