Dr. Hackman does an excellent job explaining, in an understandable way, what is involved in surgery and treatment. This is extremely important to patients, like me, who are dealing with an initial cancer diagnosis. He is also very responsive to any questions asked about the process. I know his time is limited, but I never felt rushed during my appointment.

Dr. Hackman is highly skilled and takes time and effort to communicate clearly. He explains current issues, treatments, helps to draw up the best plan, possible outcomes. Having seen several physicians, I am grateful I can now rely on his expertise. He also brought in Speech Pathologist Mr. Brian K., who is also extremely knowledgeable and spent time explaining possible next steps. I learned a great deal during this visit, and am grateful.

Dr Hackman is personable, very skilled, and abundantly kind. I drive from Winston-Salem to see him. He saved my salivary gland and avoided having to go through my cheek!
