Very disappointed
Trevinder Ahluwalia was previously astute, experienced and had excellent skills in medication management. However, her office doesn't return phone calls. 'Leave a message at the beep.' When my beloved sister died, Dr. Ahluwalia failed to return my phone call after two weeks. I asked her to return my non-emergency phone call after 3-5 days to schedule an additional appointment with her and to review my antidepressant medication to possibly increase it during my tragic loss.. No one called back from her office, not even 'Blondie' her receptionist. Complete failure by her office. My primary care physician is now covering my psychiatric medication until I get a new psychiatric referral.

Dr. AHLUWALIA needs to dismiss, Tina, her SECY.
Personally, I have a good relationship with her except that my medications are often confused in terms of frequency and dosages. Her main and extremely serious problem, is her secretary, Tina. Tina has a serious sense of entitlement. She is extremely rude and disrespectful and consistently fails to transmit message concerning medications to both t he local pharmacy and the mail order pharmacy. Tina consistently hangs up on patients and rarely returns calls. Dr. Ahuwalia prescribed medication and when the pharmacist contacts her office, the just prescribed medications are denied. I suspect that this too is done by Tina. The doctor would have much better patient doctor relationships and much better ratings if she would dismiss this person as it is, I’m positive, wreaking havok with the patients Physiological and Psychological state of mind.

Will not recommend to anyone
Had to schedule my initial appointment 1.5 months in advance. On the week of my scheduled appointment, I received a call stating the "Doctor doesn't feel well" and my appointment needed to be rescheduled for another MONTH out. Absolutely ridiculous, I was waiting for this appointment for my mental health for a long time and I really needed it. Staff was not understanding and was completely rude on the phone when I voiced my unhappiness. Gave me no other options except waiting another month to talk to the psychiatrist. Unsafe, poor communication, not patient centered. If you have received a referral to this Dr, I suggest you save yourself the headache and ask for another provider like I did.

DoctorAhluwalia has a negative reputation because of her lack of compassion and inability to make a correct diagnosis. This was my experience and I would not recommend her to anyone.

I have no idea how she has ANY high reviews at all. Complete lack of bedside manner and frequent office errors. No one ever answers the phone or responds to messages. Large sense of neglect, and no feeling of concern for you. Extremely short visits, double booked scheduling and frequent cancellations common.

Dr Ahluwalia is a very cold person. Instead of view a patient's spouse as a source of information she views them as an intruder. My husband was in severe crisis due his bipolar and ADHD not being promptly medicated. He had run out of his ADHD meds and was having suicidal ideation. His former psychiatrist had not sent his records. So instead, Dr. Ahluiwalia, stated to me, " I don't want to talk with you." Then she closed her office door in my face. My husband got up and left without any help..

Rude, Not personable, doesnt listen well, no bedside manner and she made me feel very uncomfortable. Spoke with for 10 minutes(maybe)and determined i was depressed(Im not). She based this on the fact i was sad because my daughter was leaving for college 2000 miles away. I was referred to her for a psych evaluation for weight loss surgery.

The Dr. Ahluwalia herself is ok, just ok because 15 minutes to discuss issues is not enough time. She does know her craft, she got me on the right meds, now her front desk worker. I have never came across a lady so obviously bitter with life it shows at her job. She so rude and condescending, honestly I don't leave reviews but she is the reason why I'm going to another Dr. She may need to take some customer service or etiquette classes.

This Dr doesn't have an exchange that can reach her after 2hrs. My son is a patient and she has no concerns for his welfare or that of the publics. When meds cause someone to sleepwalk, cook in their sleep, undress completely and roam into the garage, front yard or urinate everywhere and she doesn't change their medication that is a problem

Dr. Ahluwalia was great, but her support staff is awful. I attempted to reschedule my appointment for a week, left over 4 voice messages. her clerk/secretary never returned my calls. I asked for a supervisor or manager when my calls were never returned. I was told there was none and there was no one else to speak to. after calling 4 times yesterday, leaving 2 messages, I finally was able to speak to the clerk that I had left all the messages for. she came to the phone with an attitude.
