Fantastic
My mother ended up in the ER at Hartford Hospital and Dr. She was her doctor. Dr. She explained everything thoroughly and plainly to us, always pausing to ask us if we had any questions. Dr. Shay is a phenomenal communicator and listener. On top of providing excellent care (he came in on his day off to check on my Mom), he put my mom and my brother and I at ease by telling us everything we needed to know and clearly explaining our options. Those communication and listening skills simply cannot be overvalued. Obviously you want your doctor to be competent and skilled (which he is) but to get someone who is kind, patient, and will talk and listen to you is invaluable. I think Hartford Hospital is very lucky to have him, and we were lucky to get him as our ER doctor.
