Tried to schedule an appointment but apparently the PA or whatever "she" is asked for my insurance info. However, since I couldn't provide a specific "mental health" coverage phone number only a "general" medical contact 800# and DOB + Plan ID for our high end PPO Plan, she stated it'd be too hard for her because she'd have to wait on the phone too long to verify coverage and too much work. She literally told me "he" wouldn't do things that a GP and a GI are currently regarding medications. Basically she "scoffed" and laughed at me. I called for mental support and this person simply treated me like a pariah... I called a psychiatrist for mental health and get a call from an "assistant" to berate and belittle me. Every time I have tried to call his office it goes to a recording. Afternoon, mornings it doesn't seem to matter. OMG I'm actually feeling even worse about myself and place in this world. I'm sorry I called for help and try and get "better".

I've been seeing Dr. Waltrip for more than a year and I'm so happy to have found a psychiatrist that really cares about helping me. He doesn't just nod his head and write a 'script. He asks questions, looks back over months worth of notes, checks my weight—he is very thorough. He has patiently worked with me to find the right medications. His administrative assistance can be challenging to work with at times, but just get through that because Dr. Waltrip is worth it!

I've been seeing Dr. Waltrip for about a year and a half. He is very knowledgeable and listens to concerns you may have around medications or otherwise. Getting an initial appointment took some time, but after that it was easy and they're very accommodating (even going so far as to do facetime chats if needed). The staff is very friendly and nonjudgmental as well. Highly recommend.

Unfortunately I spoke to Sheila.I wanted to schedule an appt w/Dr. Waltrip. I had been off my meds for a year. She asked me what meds & mg. I told her.She immediately told me that she knows the doctor wouldn't prescribe that dosage for me.First off, I'm not asking for any particular meds/dosage. I had been on it for a long time.I started at low dose. She was very dismissive, didnt schedule my appt, said she would call me back. She kept saying "yep"& "mmhmm" while i was talking. I went elsewhere!
