This so called doctor took my injured arm and yanked it around, the told me to go home and take an asprin!! He is the worst person I have ever delt with at the ER!! My personal MD found I had a fine break crossed my arm and a major tear in the arm muscles. I Will NEVER allow this man to touch me again!! I filed a formal complaint and nothing has been done.

Going over my records from November 2019, I realized Dr.Newby only reported me as coming into the ER with anxiety symptoms and "shaky" legs do to anxiety. At this time I could barely walk. I returned to the ER for 3 days in a row, my symptoms increased to dysphagia, loss of motor function, urinary incontinence, dizziness, etc. This man STILL tried to claim it was anxiety, tried to release me. I refused. He condescendingly asked me "well the only thing we could do now is get an MRI, is that what you want?" I said yes, and it turns out I had MULTIPLE active lesions on my brain and was in the middle of a serious MS attack. When I was waiting for results, he comes around the corner and says "Yeah it looks like Multiple Sclerosis" and handed me some papers. He had the least tact and consideration. He stared at me while I cried. If he had just listened to me and properly reported these symptoms in his reports, I would have been able to get a steriodal infusion and prevent some brain damage.

Dr. Newby was the Doctor I saw when I came into the hospital for a difficult miscarriage. He addressed both my husband and myself with respect and professionalism. He told us that the on call OB was recommending a D&C that same day. I was terrified and unsure of taking that route. He told me that even though that was her recommendation, we were the boss and we would not be forced into anything without our consent. "Nobody's in jail here." He said. In the end we opted for the recommended surgery.

Hello, my name is Nicole Teavis. I would like to compliment Doctor Travis Newby on being one of the BEST most professional and comforting doctors I have ever had in the emergency room at Kootenai Health. Everyone on his staff team that day (02/05/16) was wonderful and I just wanted to say, Thanks!
