Don't question him. . .
Condescending, arrogant, defensive, argumentative, judgmental, critical, and very closed minded.

Dr Roth is about as good as it gets! Fantastic Dr.
Dr Roth is one of the most Caring, Thoughtful & Knowledgeable Doctors I have ever met. My mother, who is 91, has been seeing Dr Roth for 15+ years. My mother has been raving about him for quite some time and now I can see why. Recently, I had the pleasure of being with her on one of her appointments and got to meet him for the first time. This man has found his calling and is about as good as it gets! Thank You Dr Roth for taking such great care of my mom! A+++

I have been a patient of Dr Roth since August 2001 when at the age of 51, his thoroughness discovered a blockage that testing by others had not found. After stenting this blockage, I continued under his care and 3 years later his follow up care found I needed a bypass surgery. Again in 2017 his early detection led to another stent. Under his diligent and expert care I have stayed ahead of hereditary heart issues for over 20 years. I would and have recommended him to others as an outstanding cardiologist.

I have been a patient of Dr. Roth for several years and have nothing but praises for his professionalism, communications skills, and the holistic approach to medicine that he practices. In my view, he is an excellent diagnostician who takes the time to explain the conditions, causes, and treatments to his patients. I never felt rushed in his presence as he was willing to answer all my questions, taking as long as necessary. I wish all my doctors had the same professional skills as Dr. Roth. I was just informed that he is no longer affiliated with NCH Cardiology, and I will make sure to follow him as his patient wherever his new practice takes him.

I have been a patient of Dr Roth for 15+ years and consider him a truly gifted physician. I will never forget during my first visit when he said in the event of an emergency to call him anytime day or night and he would meet me at the hospital.

Love Doc Roth. He saved my life as well as many others, I'm sure. I don't go to a doctor to be molly-coddled nor sit and drink tea. Every visit for the past 16 years has been professional and informative and always directed at maintaining my heart health. On busy days he may be "curt" as some reviewers have said but I've never felt ignored nor neglected. The staff is top class as well. We have moved north and our greatest loss in leaving Naples was Doc. Six stars!

Dr Roth was on time, reviewed our information and presented us with his suggestions. Everything was direct and professional. His staff was very friendly and answered all of our questions. Follow up visit was again on time or even earlier than our appointment. He presented us with the test results and again with a suggested medication addition. We utilized the Patient Assistance Program with the assistance of his staff. Everything has been professional and friendly. We highly recommend this cardiologist!

My heart Doctor in this group retired, and I am now a patient of Dr. Roth. He was very kind, took his time with me, and answered all my questions. I felt so relieved that he took me as his patient. if I could I’d give him 10 stars. Thank you Dr Roth, Jo I.

I had the same experience that other people who gave this doctor a 1-star rating. He was very curt and didn't seem to be someone who was very willing to listen to a patient for more than one sentence. While he may be a great technician, the lack of personal communication skills or seeming patience, made me decide to go to another cardiologist.

Dr. Roth is rude, condescending, and dismissive. I attending an appointment with my mother because she left the previous appointment feeling verbally abused. I can confirm that the doctor is flat out abusive in both his language and demeanor. Shame on NCH for continuing to employ this man. On the upside, there was virtually no wait time, as I’m sure he has very few patients ever willing to make a second visit to his office.

Donald Samson M.D. had a long anticipated appointment with Dr.Roth at 9:45this A.M.We arrived at 9:33 and informed by staff that I could not be seen because I was thee minutes late to do paper work.I requested that they with Dr.Roth before canceling this appointment, they returned to inform us the doctor refused to see me. I am a paralyzed VietNam veteran who got up at 5A.M. To get readying for this appt.We we’re lost on the NCH campus which the staff was fully aware of as we called at 9:20 and 9:25 requesting better directions. In my 49 years as a practicing pediatrician I have never treated a patient like this.My wife who is also elderly pushed me around for 35 minutes in 85 degree heat to be treated like this and I’m sorry to say I feel this should be published in a review. I am the wife of a patient that Dr Roth treated. He since had passed, I would NEVER recommend this dr. When you need him, he won’t be there. He will not take phone calls, even when a situation is critical. He will dismiss you as a patient when he feels threatened and leaves you without care. His bedside manner is cold and heartless. I din’t Know how he can call himself a doctor. His nurse is probably just as bad as he. They really deserve each other. Being in a critical situation, having to go to NY for treatment, my husband needed guidance for treatment of his heart condition. Dr Roth’s nurse said that we would have to come into the office. This is after being told that we were in Ny, being treated for cancer and that could not be possible. We were told that Dr Roth does not speak with patients on the phone. Shortly after, we received a dismissal letter saying that Dr Roth is no longer his Dr. this was fine, heartless, but we do not want a Dr. like him any longer!!!! really 0 stars

Came to NCH hospital by EMS/ ambulance with ventricular fibrillation and coronary artery blockage. Had a great intervention on the field, which protected my heart and brain. This gave me a reasonable chance of surviving and recovering. At this point, already in the NCH hospital Dr Roth , as an interventional cardiologist, very quickly catheterize my block artery, place a stent and got the blood supply open again. I hope I never have to go through this again, but if I have to I will definitively want Dr Roth in my team. Forever grateful. Javier G. Lugo, M.D.

Well, he refused to see my mom because she coughed. She offered to wear a mask as we were told her heart was an issue. The next day she was admitted with congestive heart failure. How can a Dr refuse to see a patient?

I had been having trouble with my health for many years. A few years ago, I went to my local GP and cardiologist. I was basically told my heart was fine and they couldn't find any problems. So they wished me good luck. Fortunately, Dr. Roth didn't put too much faith in what I was told several years ago. He was thoughtful, thorough and compassionate. He discovered a blockage that many others had missed. I appreciated both his professionalism and directness. I am certain Dr. Roth saved my life.
