A painful waste of time
I was referred to this practice by my periodontist for biopsies of my lower gum and cheek. The techs working on me had to be constantly reminded of what to do. I was exited from the room post-surgery w no instructions or ice pack. The doctor stopped me and ordered to tech to give me those and she proceeded to read me the aftercare sheet w no other explanations. After 1 month passed and I had not heard from them, I called. I was told my results were not in, yet. I was also told this was usual and there was nothing to be done. 2 weeks more passed and my dentist called to find out what was going on. The results had been in two weeks after my biopsy. The office either did not know they were there, or just failed to enter them into their system. I still have yet to hear from them and it has been almost 2 months.

Not qualified
Stay away from this doctor if you have orbital floor fracture. He might be a good dentist but horrible at repairing orbital floor fractures. He put the metal plate improperly casing double vision. Had to do a revision surgery with oculoplastic surgeon to fix Dr Torin’s mistakes.

Horrible
My son fell after having his baby teeth taken out. The assistant left him alone while he was dazed and he fell off the chair. His screams prompted me to run in. No apology was offered . Instead the rude front desk manager said I need to cover the balance. I was never so humiliated .

Great experience for terrified child
My son needed a molar extracted due to an abscess. We were referred to Dr. Rutner by our pediatric dentist. At our consultation he thoroughly went over the procedure step by step. When we arrived for the procedure we were greeted warmly by his staff, who made every effort to make my son calm. My son has a lot of anxiety regarding dental work, and being only 6 years old, he requires someone with patience and care. Dr. Rutner exceeded my expectations, and my son even said he would love to return there if he needs another tooth removed. (Despite our great experience - I hope we don't need to return!)

There are no words to express our gratitude for Dr Rutner. After my son suffered a traumatic tongue injury he turned his car around and drove 45 minutes back to his office to open it up and stitch him up. He had never met us before and he went above and beyond. On top of all of that his bedside manner with my frightened 5 year old (and a very terrified mommy) was more than I could have asked for. Finally I have to say... his office is immaculately clean and his sutures were beautiful!

As good an experience as you can have getting a tooth extracted. Most impressive: Afterwards, there was almost no pain or discomfort. Didn't need the oxy-whatever prescribed just in case, got by on ibuprofin, and I have a low tolerance for pain. Not that it matters medically, but the office is very nice. Also funny, in an ironic sense, is the office is right next to a funeral home.

Horrendous followup. I experienced extremely negative side effects from one of the medications prescribed to me. Dr. Rutner did not take me seriously when I attempted to explain the severity of my symptoms, and I had to visit specialist in post op medicine in order to get sorted out. When I expressed my concerns to Dr. Rutner, he told me that I was embarrassing him, hurting his feelings, and ruining his morning. He was extremely rude, and downplayed all of my symptoms to avoid dealing with them.
