Opportunist practice
My initial consultation with Dr. Sorra went okay and I left feeling well informed for my colonoscopy. The receptionist was unfriendly at that visit. Prior to my procedure, I received 3 calls from the receptionist reminding me of the appointment and fasting. I fasted a whole day and took laxatives to arrive at the appointment and told by the receptionist that my procedure is out of pocket. I pointed out that she did not mention this during her calling me three times to which she nodded (no apologies). She said my options are to pay out of pocket or look for a different practice. Given my situation where I was getting the procedure done as a recommendation, I decided to not move ahead. I felt that this happens regularly and patients in dire need has no other option but to go through with the procedure. I asked the receptionist if the doctor knew about this, and she said yes. I felt that a patient should be informed of the cost ahead of surgery preparation and arrival at the practice.

Dr. Sorra and his staff are welcoming and professional. From the moment you step into the warm and welcoming office space you feel confident of thorough and competent experience. He takes what is an experience you usually try to avoid and makes it more than comfortable. Dr. Sorra makes time to thoroughly explain each and every step of your experience and GETS TO KNOW YOU AS AN INDIVIDUAL. The best colonoscopy experience I have had!

Dr Sorra made the usually unpleasant experience of a colonoscopy a comfortable and calming experience. He and his staff put me totally at ease and it was over before I realized it. He has a very pleasant and warm manner. I was completely confident in his professionalism and experience. I would recommend him highly to anyone needing the services of a gastroenterologist

I and my husband have seen Dr. Sorra for about 20 years, for various digestive problems and for colonoscopies. He is gentle and knowledgeable. His anesthesiologist did a terrific job putting a line into my notoriously rolling veins. The office is quaint, meaning old-fashioned and homey in decor. The procedures around the colonoscopy were completely sterile and professional (lest you think otherwise based on decor.) Altogether a thoroughly positive experience.

I have been a patient of Dr. Sorra for years. He is wonderful. I recently had a colonoscopy performed by Dr Sorra in his office. I was very nervous. I was immediately made to feel relaxed and comfortable and the proceedure was so much easier than I expected. I received personalized care which would not have happened in a testing facility.

Dr. Sorra has a very soothing demeanor& a comforting bedside manner. That is so needed when 1 has to put their trust into the hands of 1 they likely really don't know about. My experience was dreamy. I was treated& handled with such care by both the Dr. &his lovely staff that when it was over I realize, no doubt, I was in the best hands. Dr. Sorra knows his stuff& he has surrounded himself with a professional, caring staff of people. They are all the best; I thank& praise them all sincerely.

Dr. Sorra is an excellent physician. He has been my general medical doctor for the last twenty-five years and I couldn't have picked a better doctor. His office is efficient and clean and his staff is great. I trust Dr. Sorra completely and he has always been honest and well-informed about my health. He has called me after hours when I have left messages for him and I check with him before I make any major medical decision. You will not find a better, more competent doctor than Tom Sorra.
