Dr. Tonya Bolton, MD

Had post surgical hernia that seemed to be getting worse and worse. Did CT and blood work. She reviewed the results with me, and kept returning to talk to me multiple times through my visit. Usually docs come by once then never again, send the nurses with anything else so you never get to ask follow up questions. She returned multiple times discussing everything and was very open to follow up questions. Then she went above and beyond of doing the job of someone else and explaining to me how I should be caring for myself post surgery. That should have been the responsibility of someone immediately following my surgery. Bottom line, you would be very very lucky having her bedside manner, determination to provide the best care, and her calm and reassuring demeanor.

This was my first trip to an ER and skeptical of the care I’d receive. Dr. Bolton was not what I expected. She was professional, yet had good bedside manner. After a CT scan and blood work, she explained the results and said I needed surgery right away. She didn’t try to alarm me, just gave me the facts. She patiently gave me time for questions and answered them throughly. I do not have any complaint about the way Dr Bolton treated me or my situation. Just sitting in the ER waiting room for hours gives you a lot of respect for who these ER doctors routinely see and what they have to put up with. I’m thankful Dr. Bolton was there when I went into the ER that night.
