The receptionist often won't take notes or give the doctor informstion/ask them for advice if she decides she doesn't like you. Unluckily for me, she decided she didn't like me after I used a walk-in appointment as my hospitalization follow up appointment, even though I was doing so on her advice since the next available scheduled appointment would've meant waiting several days. However, the appointment was involved so it set them back and they had to stay late. Thereafter, she never once passed on any message or question to the doctor and the receptionist was somehow literally never able to find an open slot for a scheduled appointment for me. Beside things like that, a serious condition I have was never investigated or treated with appropriate urgency, simply because it is not a visible disease. The doctor used my apparent youth and passable prettiness to justify a slow, unconcerned approach to something which had cost me my job, my relationship, and 1/4 of my bodyweight.

I've been using Takoma Family Health Center as my primary care provider for the last 13 years. I've never received an attitude or bad service. The only issue I have with them is that it gets jam-packed in the mornings (8-11 am); unfortunately (or fortunately depending on your situation) they accept walk-ins. Apparently, everyone in the neighborhood must see a Dr in the morning. If you avoid the "morning rush" with an appointment in the afternoon, you could be in-and-out within 1 hr (I know I do)
