In Dec 2024 Dr. Danesi performed endoscopic open-heart surgery to repair my mitral and tricuspid valves. After his thorough explanation of the procedure and recovery period, I opted to put my faith and trust in him and Brigham and Women's Hospital. He and his team did an amazing surgery and I was overwhelmed by the thoughtful care and expertise I received. I have never met a person with as much humility, compassion, grace, unpretentiousness, and kindness as Dr. Danesi. He represents his profession with expertise and great care of his patient. Dr. Tommaso Hinna Danesi performed endoscopic open-heart surgery to replace my bicuspid aortic valve on 1/5/24 at Brigham & Women's. I have never met a more compassionate surgeon, doctor, or medical person. Prior to surgery, Dr. Hinna Danesi completely explained what my surgery would entail, how I would feel, and what recovery would be, stopping many times during our meeting to be certain that my husband & I understood, and to ask what questions we had. Knowing that my congenital defect would be repaired, I was hopeful for a successful surgery, with a better recovery than what would be typical with a minimally invasive or a full sternum procedure. I can hardly believe and can not adequately express how well my recovery has progressed and how good I feel.Dr. Hinna Danesi takes a complete patient approach, expressing concern and understanding of not only the physical, but also the mental and emotional aspects of how I felt, both in hospital and after I was home. He is a God-send.
