Dr. Tomas Melicher, MD

Dr. Melicher has been my psychiatrist for almost two years now. He seemed disinterested from the first appointment as he chewed food while I tried to introduce myself and describe my medical history. He types the entire appointment, which wouldn't be an issue if his focus was making detailed notes, while also being present and involved in the appointment. He often makes snap assumptions about what I meant or what I was describing but doesn't ask clarifying questions. It's clear from his notes that he listens just enough to get a few quotes, or paraphrases, of what I'm saying; often mischaracterizing the entire issue I've described, leaving out any clarifications I made so his synopsis is wildly off base. He is late to appointments but quick to say he has to leave right at the top of the hour before I've had a chance to clearly identity all of my concerns and creating a treatment plan that doesn't address those concerns, or is contraindicated by my previous treatment or side effects.
