Dr. Straus is a very professional and competent ophthalmologist. The best I’ve ever been to. Very focused on achieving the appropriate treatment for his patients. Sorry to hear he will be leaving in December. He will certainly be missed.

Dr. Straus took extra precautions with an eye infection I had due to shingles.
I truly believe his early detection and continued monitoring of the inflammation of my eye will go a long way down the road in preventing future infections.
I cannot thank him enough!!

Dr Straus is a very fine educated doctor,however, he has no personality.
To be the main Doctor here in Middletown you have to see at
CEI, he needs to be more kind, & considerate, especially of older people that may have disabilities or don't understand medical terms.
Sorry to be so negative.
My observation and opinion and not just my visit but also someone else I had to bring to see him.

Truly thankful for such a thorough examination that uncovered 3 tears in my retina. He took his time to explain what happened and the reason. He promptly made an immediate appointment at CEI main for repair. Dr. Straus saved my eyesight.

Dr Straus was right on top of my care and even took exception to the wait that I had in securing
an appointment due to the symptoms I was having. He was very professional and took the time
to explain the problems I was having with my eyes and what to expect both short term and long
term. Very knowledgeable in his field but did not talk above my ability to understand. I would
definitely recommend Dr. Staus to others.

I went in for a routine diabetic eye exam and during his very thorough exam Dr. Straus noted some nerve damage and took the precaution to schedule me for a test for Glaucoma. The test turned out positive and thanks to Dr. Straus I am now receiving treatment.
