Dr. Todd Vermeer, MD

Overall, the experience was disappointing. My daughter injured her toe and was taken into urgent care to make sure there was no fracture. She left after seeing Dr. Vermeer with a tiny piece of tape around her pinky toe that was so tight it broken down her skin and caused a pressure sore, and a medical shoe (that you can buy for about $50) that was way too large for her small foot and she couldn't even wear it. They just grabbed what they had on the shelf and gave it to her even though it was not an appropriate fit. He put in a charge for 'casting', and we were billed an additional $600 above the physician charge for this care that actually caused harm. This seems like fraudulent billing as there was nothing resembling a cast, and the shoe should have been billed as durable medical equipment which would have been much cheaper. I do not recommend this provider. If the care had been appropriate, I would not mind paying the bill, but we got up charged for poor care.
