Unfocused, no common sense, terrible communicator
I never give 1 star reviews but Dr. LePine cost me thousands of dollars on testing, supplements, and visits, which all amounted to inappropriate treatment, unnecessary tests, and wasted time during appointments. While he seemed smart and thoughtful in a podcast interview, in reality, he’s sloppy and unfocused. He gives 8 supplements to try on your own, takes 1-3 weeks to answer emails, dwells on unimportant family history (like your grandmother’s skin problems, when you’re there for GI help), doesn’t think through treatment recommendations (like not checking overlap in ingredients resulting in double doses), wastes time going over history you’ve already given, sends you studies without summarizing them, doesn’t leave time for questions, and more. He spaghetti-slings treatment suggestions despite his overly detailed testing and history interview. He doesn’t use common sense. And if you email him, you won’t get clear answers to your questions. He caused me so much stress—do not see him.

Very difficult to communicate with, I'd sometimes wait a couple weeks for a response, once or twice didn't get one at all. Detected a strong whiff of passive aggressiveness in his communication. I would probably give an additional star if he had a secretary (he definitely charges enough to afford one!). I took his supplements for a couple months and don't notice any difference, but also don't really know what kind of difference I was supposed to notice since he never explained what he was prescribing. Don't know if he dislikes his job, his patients, or just me, but something seems off there. I'd forgive the attitude and the price if there were discernible results from his treatment, but???

Dont waste your time or money.
I followed Dr. LePine for a while before deciding to pay for his services. Unfortunately, my experience was terrible, and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone. Scheduling appointments was a hassle, with multiple email follow-ups and weeks of waiting. During the virtual consultation, he embarrassed me by screen sharing and googling a symptom with an offensive description. The extensive lab tests he suggested were expensive, so I opted for critical ones only. In the follow-up appointment, he scolded me for not following through on recommendations he never communicated. It was mortifying and unprofessional. The treatment plan he gave me was a simple copy-paste of his initial email, with a link to buy expensive vitamins. It was a waste of time and money. I won't continue my treatment with Dr. LePine and strongly advise against seeking his services.

I am grateful to Dr Lepine for his medical expertise and thoroughness in investigating the causes of my condition. As my successful treatment progresses, he and his team of dietitian and physician assistant continues to fine tune the tests and treatment in response to prior test results and lifestyle factors impacting treatment. What a wonderful team approach. I now refer my friends, family, and, yes, patients to the UWC.
