Dr. Todd Beel, MD

Dr. Beel was the physician I saw at Chelsea ER on 06/05/19. He has a kind smile but his attitude is patronizing. First his PA kept suggesting that my symptoms were NOT due to a GI bleed ignoring evidence. So I told him he had already harmed me that way in March - thus he stormed off to get Beel. When Beel entered my room & did a brief assessment (before labs) he suggested the diffuse pain spreading across my belly all day, the stool that was formed of deep purple blood Id been pooping for weeks; evidence of crashing hematocrit/globin) values x 2 months showing anemia, the severe shortness of breath &leg claudication on exertion, etc. werent emergent - until the rectal exam was + for blood & labs came back indicating an upper GI bleed. He had to admit me, but refused to re-evaluate my changing medical and mental status, responding to my pleas for urgent help with the offer to discharge me with no care, or wait for transfer. I limped out on my walker, distraught, IV still in my arm...
