Knowledgeable and Caring Dr.
Dr Lara is treating me for Wet AMD. He is kind and considerate as his Staff. I also Saw Dr Burgess recently and He was Great as Well. He explained things in a manner I understood and made me feel comfortable.

I had a tear in my left eye. Dr. Lara did laser surgery on it and it is doing great. This is a great place and the drs. are all great. Would give then 10 10 10 10.

It is my pleasure to write this letter of praise for Dr. Lara. With so many physicians to choose from, I have been very fortunate to find one who is extremely caring, polite, courteous, considerate and best of all very very knowledgeable. A Retina Specialist who goes that extra mile is indeed one to hold on to, should you ever require this type of service/support. He takes his time explaining procedures and results in detail answering all questions. He is certainly an asset to your organization.

Dr. Lara and staff has made for me an unpleasant experience into almost most pleasant. Until I see the doctor the staff is very friendly and considerate. Dr. Lara arrives with a pleasant handshake and asks about my health and answers any questions I might have. I am most grateful for this treatment I receive to keep my vision from failing.

Dr. Lara is treating me for edema (swelling) in both eyes. He is professional and does an excellent job of explaining everything to me. Beyond being thorough he is genuinely concerned about his patients. The staff who do the prep work are also excellent.

Dr. Lara is an ultimate professional with a very friendly staff! My retina tear was a terrifying experience but he was able to see me right away, and the diagnosis and treatment was immediate. A vitrectomy was performed by Dr. Lara and the care received before and after the procedure was very good. He accepts most major insurance companies. I also admire the fact that he mentors Nova Southeastern students. Will recommend to all family, friends and acquaintances ??

I was referred to Dr. Lara due to retinal detachment and was impressed that I was seen right away and given great care. Dr. Lara was thorough in diagnosing the issue and then treated it right away with laser. Afterwards I got a second opinion by Dr. Flynn who is one of the world's leading experts on retinal issues and he said the treatment had been performed perfectly. I highly recommend Dr. Lara. Only comment is that the office is a bit old, but all the equipment and personnel are top notch.

Dr. Lara is the ultimate professional. He is extremely thorough,complete and exacting in his history taking and examination. Just as importantly, he is extremely compassionate and patient I never feel rushed or like I am in a medical factory. He also has good eye contact, unusual, in this age of computer data entry in doctor offices. For a busy sub-specialist, Dr. Lara is like a modern day, Dr. Marcus Welby! SF
