Dr. Timothy Van De Leur, MD

Dr. Van de Leur actually listens to you, and acts on what you are telling him - he actually told me that I had fluid on my knee (no other doctor told me that0, he removed 20 ccs from my knee and then injected a cortozone shot. Told me if that didn't work by three weeks to let him know and he would try the gel. He doesn't want to do surgery unless it is absolutely necessary because of my age. I highly recommend him to anyone who has knee problems.

Very nice man. Took his time explaining my issue and what could be done to alleviate my pain before opting for surgery. At this point in time I’m trying to hold off having surgery for as long as possible. Definitely giving him five stars!!

However, the support staff is either overwhelmed or understaffed! I called 4 times in a week and have yet to have a call returned! After 5th call finally got ahold of someone and waiting on follow up! Don’t hold your breath!

Bring a book to read because it's a long wait; but it's worth it because Dr. Van is good. I was referred to him for a possible hip problem, but after an x-ray and a thorough exam, he said there is nothing wrong with either hip and referred me to a neurosurgeon for my back.

Went to speak to him today and he took so much time with me. Examined the knee, went over the MRI I brought in. Then showed me what he talking about on the MRI. Answered my many, many questions. Then he answered my girlfriend’s questions. He seemed genuinely interested in me as a patient! Some doctors can’t be bothered. He was great.

Took the time to explain the roots of my affliction. I learned new and helpful facts. Managed the condition in a very timely manner!

Had a hip revision on Feb. 4, 2021 and here it is Feb. of 2022 and I'm still having problems with hip pain and walking. After seeing him several times for the pain, he gave me a cortisone shot in the bursa even though the MRI report said the fluid was in the joint. Totally ignored the report and I had to go somewhere else to get the correct shot. It helped but still need another one soon. I got no relief from this guy - he didn't listen to my problems and pain I was having. What good is a doctor who doesn't listen to you. I would not recommend him at all!!

Dr. Van De Leur is wonderful. He uses the anterior method for hip replacement and I was playing golf 3 weeks later with no pain at all! He's very kind and personable and takes all the time you need to ask questions and get answers. I'm having him replace my other hip soon. I highly recommend him!

Dr. van de Leur is Amazing. Just about 2 months out of a revision due to a failed knee replacement from a different doctor. I’m so happy with the results that each day I encounter. He is kind, caring, professional. I ??% recommend Dr. van de Leur, he listens and pays attention to any/all concerns I have/had. He is definitely an Incredible Doctor/Surgeon.

This "Doctor" now practices in Ocala FL for the Orthopedic Institute. He performed my mother's hip surgery in August of 2018. She developed an infection within 2 weeks and has been in pain since. He has performed 5 more procedures including removing the hip, placing in a temporary spacer and a permanent spacer. She now has healed 6 months later and he now refuses to perform the surgery to replace her hip. She is now in pain everyday and can barely move. My spouse has quit work to take care of he

My experience with Timothy Van De Leur was amazing. I got right in for an appointment, with in 2 weeks he did a revision on my left I came home in 2 days for hospital, and did in home therapy for 2 weeks. Was released with cane, One week later I didn't need the cane! I walk balanced, my leg is straight. I'M Good to go. What a GREAT SURGEON And an all around caring man.

I finally found him...in florida! Dr. Tim did my knee revision back in 2011, and he was the only doc in Indiana who would give me the time of day. What a loss for us in Indiana, probably has to do with all Lutheran/FWO issues. I saw him in "The Villages", when he left his previous spot, they tried to put me with Dr. Fisher, but he was the one that messed me up to begin with! What a joke. He is a great surgeon and I won't see anyone else, period! Steve

Dr van de Leur and his PA Cory were very engaging and approachable during my appointments for my hip. They seemed to be willing to answer all of my questions without making me feel rushed.

Very rude and unprofessional with his colleagues. Met him at a dinner sponsored by industry, he was very ill-mannered to residents and associates...

He is very rude, tried to drain my knee. Caused more pain then I had com in with. Had to beg him to stop. Would not recommend to anyone!!!
