Very probably saved my life...
A few years ago, (after my annual physical), my Primary Care Physician recommended that I make an appointment to see a Urologist. Not just any Urologist, Dr. Timothy Roth. On my first visit with Dr. Roth he also detected an enlarged prostate. He recommended that we initially keep a "watchful waiting" eye on it. On my following visit, with PSA blood level now highly elevated, a Biopsy was recommended. Results: Prostate Cancer was detected. The diagnosis frightened me. Even though Dr. Roth is a Surgeon, he additionally discussed several other cancer treatment therapy options for moving forward (which I took). Fast forward two years after the Cancer treatment therapies. PSA level remains very low: "undetectable" I am very happy and thankful that my PCP made the call. Dr. Roth is the best... I highly recommend this extremely knowledgeable, personable and caring man. Thanks again Doc... Tim H

He's very easy to talk to and doesn't rush through an appointment. He's caring and doesn't treat me like I'm just a source of money. The staff in Elgin are just an excellent bunch of ladies. I'm very pleased with everyone there.

He's very pleasant, but not very good at his job. Questionable cleanliness for procedures, and his staff is horrible.

very easy to talk to, set me at ease right away, not alarmist which is really important to me, I don't need unnecessary stress, took time to explain things, answer questions, showed and explained images. responded easily to any concerns. felt really good with his approach and feel it is the best interaction I have had with a doctor in ages and I have interacted with many due to other family I assist as well as my own healthcare. i walked away feeling confident in his knowledge and direction with my condition/ test results.

A couple of weeks ago I had my first ever video consultation. It was with Dr. T. Roth, my urologist of several years The staff and Dr. Roth himself were extremely helpful and patient in getting me up to speed on the use of Zoom. After that was accomplished I had an excellent video consultation with Dr. R. His caring attitude, focused listening, depth of knowledge, and explanatory skills are as evident on screen (I have an HDMI connection to a big screen) as they are in person. When circumstances make an in person visit unadvisable and a hands-on physical exam is not absolutely essential I would not hesitate to use this video option again.
