Absolutely love this man. He is highly compassionate with my care and is truly my advocate in my battle with cancer. I can’t say enough good things about Dr Nywening. He’s highly intelligent, extremely personable, and a fantastic surgeon. He’s my hero.

Dr. Nywening performed HIPEC surgery on my rare and advanced appendix cancer. He is a highly skilled and compassionate surgeon who has been meticulous in all aspects of my care. Dr. Nywening was willing to take on my complicated case and remained transparent about the necessary steps to reach surgery while maintaining an optimistic outlook based on my circumstances. I have had complete confidence in Dr. Nywening’s care before, during, and after my extended and complex surgery. Additionally, I greatly appreciate that he went above and beyond to thoroughly communicate the progress of my surgery with my family throughout the lengthy procedure.

The first visit was great, he explained why he was late seeing me. He set my mind eased that he specializes in this type of surgery. Well after multiple times of no contact I made, no response. So I decided to go physically back to his office to asked questions. HIS RN told me all about what happened to her, she schedule a stat CT. After 4 days has passed no answer. Until this day, still nothing. Now if he's such a expert! To whom. Not this 64 year old black man. Help me to make sense of it. He get a below zero.
