He did laparoscopic surgery on my left shoulder and left knee back in ‘08 on the same day. I haven’t had a bit of trouble until two Sundays ago when I fell and now my knee is hurting so badly. He told me that I would probably need knee replacement in two years! He certainly underestimated his skill as a surgeon!

I waited nearly 2 hours past my appointment time for this doctor to spend 2 minutes with me, only to tell me I needed to go to a specialist. This could have been handled in a phone call, with no office visit during covid, no copay, and no time missed from work.

Dr. Monahan has been my doctor for a couple of years now. He replaced my knee in December after managing my pain as long as he could. The surgery was a huge success. My knee looks great and I no longer have constant pain. He listens and spends the time required to satisfy all my concerns. He is personable and friendly. I have recommended him many times.

Dr. Monahan took his time to ensure I understood all of my options in treating my injury. He was conservative in his approach and did not push for immediate surgery. I was able to rehab and recover without further intervention. I will return to his office if i ever need orthopedic help in the future.

Was referred to him at Providence from my local ER after I broke my wrist snowboarding, wound up having surgery the next day. Both Dr. Monahan and his staff were kind, courteous, and took their time to answer my questions. Surgery went great and with post op care 3 weeks out I am already doing so much better.

Dr. Monahan did total hip replacement in Feb. 2016. He broke my femur and didn't know it until the next day after I had walked on it. 2nd surgery next day. He put the wrong size rod in my leg which resulted in severe pain and inability to walk after weeks of PT & a leg 3/4" short. I was in a wheelchair and on a cane for months. Monahan's solution was to remove first surgery and redo everything. I chose to have another Dr redo the total hip replacement. DON'T CHOOSE MONAHAN FOR HIP SURGERY

My daughter had been seen by another provider in the office on two previous dates for her i injury. Which that provider was wonderful but unfortunately that doctor called in sick so we saw Dr. Timothy Monahan who was no happy that we asked to be seen because we were already at the office when they told us Kim was unavailable. Dr Monahan entered the room and said he felt her hand was healing to his satisfaction. We asked a question which set him off and he became very confrontational. Very scary.
