Horrible
I went in to have the gastric bypass. The hospital staff was very unprofessional and bedside manner was horrible. Dr.Kuwada also sent me home with no pain medicine only muscle relaxer. I have 7 incisions and in a lot of pain I fine this horrible who send a patient home in that much pain with nothing to ease it. So FYI if you’re using him as your surgeon you will suffer in pain.

Excellent Surgeon and Staff
Dr. Kuwada identified the exact procedure I needed and when I woke up the day after the procedure I experienced immediate symptom relief. He fully explained why the procedure was necessary and how it would be done. The Surgical Fellow (MD) who also saw me in the hospital was a GREAT addition to his team. His staff from front office to his nursing team are amazing. Appointments, questions and procedure all handled in a very timely manner. Excellent and compassionate care!

I have been very impressed with Dr. Kuwada and his staff. He answered my questions and explained how he was going to perform the colectomy that I needed. His nurse Muriel is amazing and was very glad to answer any questions that I had. I would recommend Dr. Kuwada.

Kuwadas bed side manners are horrible and very unprofessional. Instead of admitting that he does not know how to treat something he tries to make the patient feel crazy and suggest psychiatry care and depression treatment not realizing that patient is depressed out of the frustration of dealing with pain he was unwilling or unable to treat. Needless to say I had to find anothe surgeon who was willing to treat me who was intelligent enough to know I needed urgent surgery that helped me in the end

Dr. Kuwada did spent time with me but could not answer questions about pain I have and "lumps" that were revealed by an MRI. His office then waited over five months to submit his $430 bill to Blue Cross on the evening that the policy renewed. If he and his office had moved in a timely manner, I would have met my deductible with plenty of time to take advantage of my insurance.
