Trustworthy, professional, caring
Anyone experiencing a crisis knows, when we need help, there are people who become critically important in our lives. Dr. Kane and Comprehensive Behavioral Health have been that for me -- helping me cope for years. My situation became even more challenging after a traumatic auto accident. Dr. Kane identified medications, approaches, referred me to a sleep specialist, discussed pressing issues. He recognizes that health conditions outside of psychiatry affect our physical and mental well-being. Anyone who has struggled with emotional and mental well-being knows that feeling whole during visits is valuable. Sadly, many healthcare providers lack awareness of the "whole patient". During the pandemic when virtual visits became the norm, the empathetic office staff patiently walked me through technical difficulties. I highly recommend Dr. Kane and Comprehensive Behavioral Health to anyone seeking psychological services and cutting-edge treatments (TSM, Spravato, ketamine, etc.).

I've been going to Dr. Kane for many years... and I have referred many friends. He is compassionate, a good listener, his expertise is incredible (it is so obvious that he is committed to the newest treatments/medicines). Admittedly it seemed his office staff was a bit curt but that was years ago. I have been very impressed with all of his office- they are courteous and kind and really seek to help

I've been a patient of Dr. Kane's for the past 2.5 yrs. He's been so instrumental in helping me through some very tough times. Genuinely displays care and concern. Each month we check in to ensure medications are meeting the needs of my mental disorders and concerns. Tweaking meds if necessary. I am so appreciative and feel my life is now in control. Found someone I know will help me every step and I'm sure he would yours.

I called to make a first appointment this morning. Comprehensive Behavioral Health was recommended by my Primary Care doctor. I had some questions about the services available. One of the things that did not sit well with me is that appointments last about 20 minutes. This did not seem right to me. So I asked around about Comprehensive Behavioral Health. The people I talked to were friends and other medical professionals. Comprehensive Behavioral Health is more for managing medication then actual counseling. I am not looking to be put on medication until I know i really need it and have exhausted all other options. At this point I have not been diagnosed with any mental health illnesses. I feel I need a diagnoses before someone tosses drugs my way. I am not opposed to drugs if I actually need them. So I decided that Comprehensive Behavioral Health is not the right place for me at this time. I called to cancel the appointment I made. Mind you the appointment is a few weeks away and I

I am very thankful and blessed to have Dr. Kane as my doctor. The office in Fishersville is very efficient and you rarely wait more than a few minutes, if any, past your appointment time. Dr. Kane is a constant professional yet he has taken time to listen and give me the care I needed. He has made a huge difference in the quality of my life and I am tremendously thankful.

PLEASE don’t see Dr.Kane! During my daughters appt he was texting not once but 3 times while we were talking. Finally I say something and he said “I HAVE OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES”. Needless to say, We left! We had to repeat ourselves several times and when talking about suicide attempts and what not, it should not have to be repeated. He is HORRIBLE! We could clearly see that he does not care about his patients. So very sad a person that’s supposed to help you, only makes things worse.

Worst "psychiatrist" ever! Got kicked out of his practice in 2015 due to the fact I couldn't pay my bill after he made me go to crossroads. He even gave me a letter stating I was unable to work so how was I going to pay a bill of over $400?? During my appointments all he would do is ask if my meds were working not to mention my meds cost over $400 a month. He refused to see me anymore and denied me a session due to my bill at crossroads. In my opinion he sucks and recommend everyone stay away!!!

I have seen Dr Kane for several years and he is caring and professional. He is always on time and in the same turn gives me the time I need, if I am having a hard time and need extra time with him. His staff is helpful and has gone the extra mile when I need to get a sooner appointment with him or need help with my insurance company. I have also seen the other providers in his office if he is out or unavailable. Very easy office to deal with. I would and have recommended them to family & friends

I started seeing Dr. Kane eight years ago when I found myself unable to cope with my mother's sudden death. I am also a clinician, and have worked with doctors for the past 15 years, so I am familiar with what to expect from a psychiatrist. I drove 4 hours a day to see him, as I thought he was the very best. But over the past 8 months I have learned otherwise. He used to have a great bedside manner. Not anymore. And today, when I was describing my debilitating depression he got up and left. Bye!

I have been a patient of Dr. Kane for just about ten years. He has been nothing less than a Godsend. He is the only physician who accurately diagnosed my illness and has successfully treated it. When my physical health began to decline (I suffered a stroke), he cooperated with my primary care physician and neurologist to ensure I received the best overall care available. I would definitely recommend Dr. Kane to anyone in need of psychiatric care; he is an excellent doctor.
