Dr. Timothy Hickman, MD

Dr Hickman unfortunately seemed rushed and did not take the time needed to allow my body to acclimate and could not complete the procedure. I was told by the nurse it would be minimal pain. I had to fly that night for a ski trip and was unable to even walk or sit without immense pain! He was very uncaring about the situation and told me after the fact it could be performed with sedation. This was immense and abnormal pain for what he was suppose to do. He just replied that he had done this for 21 years!! I think he’s lost his bedside manner and care for the patient, only focused on the procedure and getting it done as fast as possible. No one should feel this much pain and unable to walk!

I’ve been a patient of Dr Hickman for 5 years (took a big break in between). He’s an incredible physician- very professional, always straight forward, great at answering questions.. I owe him so much for what he has done! The entire CCRM staff is great. They are a well oiled machine, and I’ve never had any issues getting my prescriptions called in, test results, a callback, scheduling appointments, etc. they are great!

Finding CCRM was truly the biggest blessing to our family for our IVF journey. Every staff member- from the front office, nurses, phlebotomists, to the doctors - all greet you with a smile and truly care about YOU every time you walk through the door. The process was seamless and Dr. Hickman treated us with such professionalism, kindness, and care each step of the way. We also appreciated that all costs were transparent and that CCRM did their best to work with us to lay out the organized plan of what would be expected. We are now expecting, (due this November!) and will be excited to return to the CCRM family when the time comes for baby #2! From the bottom of our hearts, thank you Dr. Hickman and the entire CCRM staff!

We came to Dr. Hickman after two failed attempts at IVF in Austin. He came highly recommended by a friend who had success with him so we traveled to Houston for treatment. We were feeling pretty hopeless but he was really thorough and explained his recommended protocol, and ultimately our results were WAY better than the prior retrievals. Our very first transfer worked and we are 8 weeks along! Truly would not be here without Dr. Hickman.

We’ve been through a journey with Dr. Hickman, never thought we’d need fertility treatments. What started of a “let’s go check out this doctor” we might need to do IUI turned into various testing and ultimately IVF due to a male factor infertility. Sounds scary but I will tell you I felt comforted at every step. Dr. Hickman is a smart, thorough, practical and logical doctor. He makes time for all your questions, trust me you’ll have several. When something didn’t work successfully I felt like Dr. Hickman was in my corner and made sure we turned over every rock to be successful. We had successes and failures in our journey but I never felt alone. He and his staff, from the ladies who take your blood, front desk ladies to the nurses, are all compassionate and rooting you on every step of the way. If you’re like me you get to know everyone in the office and they get to know your story (if you let them). I’m trusting them with my embryos until it’s time to try for a sibling.

There are no words to adequately express our gratitude to Dr. Hickman, our nurse, Tiffany, and the entire staff at CCRM Houston. From the very first phone call we placed to their office, we knew we were in good hands. Dr. Hickman spent so much time with us reviewing test results, explaining our options and developing a treatment plan that best suited our needs. Through all of the ups and downs of our IVF journey he was there providing honest guidance, hopeful insights and comedic relief. This is the kind of doctor you need walking beside you on our fertility journey. We will forever be grateful to Dr. Hickman and his team for making our dreams of starting a family a reality! We can not recommend this man, or this clinic, highly enough!

This was my second infertility clinic and I wish I would’ve gone to Dr. Hickman from the start! They are very efficient and get back to you that day or the next day the latest. If it’s urgent another nurse will reach out. Highly recommend!

Office is very efficient, in and out appointments, mostly on time. It is difficult to get ahold of nurses by phone but I found emailing was more efficient. Dr. Hickman is always smiling and optimistic.

Dr Hickman, has been absolute fantastic in terms of knowledge, guidance and the creating a clear road map. He is a great listener which is extremely crucial for us as we have been trying for the past 10+ years. His ever smiling attitude topped up with continuous answering of questions, as now adays lot of information (good & bad ) are available over internet. His every action was backed up with detailed explaination to make us feel at ease. Our appointed nurse Lauren had been superb in her communications and promptness. The insurance and billing department needs improvement. Initially it was a bit of pain but once Christine took over , things were better. We would highly recommend Dr Hickman for IVF and Critical cases. Thanks for all the help and guidance at all times.

Five stars! This facility is wonderful. The staff are professional, kind and efficient. Dr. Hickman took time to address my concerns after our first failed attempt at IUI and made the experience a great one! We are leaving successful and grateful!

the facility seems first rate and you would seem to be in good hands...we went to get an IVF done...We had them make our embryos...went thru the protocols..that they gave us...they supposedly gave me wife an exam and everything was a go.... Dr. Hickman was our Doctor...the embryos did not take and we were devastated my wife went into a huge depression...when we went to revisit the situation about 2 years later...we went to another Doctor who told us that there was no way an IVF was going to be successful. The womb was severely scarred and my wife had Ashermans...how could Dr. Hickman miss this?!?! We went back to Dr. Hickman for an appointment to see what he would recommend and he said we could try again but we would now need a egg donor due to my wifes age...he mentioned nothing of Ashermans and was ready to go thru it again. We never recovered from the loss of our chance to have our own Children. He crushed us...we depended upon his experience and he failed us tremendously.

Dr Hickman is very knowledgable but is very busy and often appears somewhat rushed. I understand the pressures he is under to see and evaluate many patients during his both clinic hours and his OR schedule. However it would be nice to feel more supported from him. My previous IVF clinic had a great doctor that gave out his cell phone so you could contact him at any time. Unfortunately he moved out of state. I had a failed cycle, no call from Dr Hickman, no offer of support from the office at all
